El's POV:
The roller skate rink opened last Tuesday, and I was practically begging Mike to take us and the party. I was super chill about it though.
Mike's POV:
She was not super chill about it. She kept bugging me while I did my chores.
"MIKE! Pleeeeaaaaseeeeeee! Please please please I really wanna goooooo!" El begged me, "No, El. I have to do my chores."
Or like Thursday:
"Mike. Mike. Mike. Mike. Mike." El pestered me.
I threw the garbage bag into the can and swung around on my heels, facing her with my hands on my hips. "What." I said, even though I knew what it was.
"So, about that roller-" "No, El. I'm tired of this silly roller skate rink nonsense. I'll take you when I'll take you." I said, sticking out my tongue and smiling when I said "silly".
Even Saturday:
"Mike, you don't have anymore chores we can go to the-"
"El, I'm sorry. No is no. I already promised Will and the guys I'd play D'n'D with them. You can go with Max, I'm just a little busy." I assured her.
I didn't notice her stomp out of the room, though.
El's POV:
"Mike is a mean person! I never wanna see him ever again Max!" I ranted to Max, while she played with her wavy hair and flipped through the new Wonder Woman comic that was at the shop.
Max closed the book, and started to list things with her fingers.
"I love his curly hair, his freckles, him being very tall, his unlimited supply of Eggos, cuddles on the couch, Star Wars series-"
"GET OFF MY MA- I mean.. yeah sure have him he's all yours." I gritted my teeth at those last words.
"You're not gonna break up over a silly skate rink. It'll be open for the rest of your lives, you got plenty of time." Max pointed out, smiling at me.
"You are right..." I admitted. I kind of was a pain to Mike.
"Besides, we can go skating through the park. I'm not busy." Max simply said, placing her comic under her bed. I thought about it. A beautiful girl day in the pretty sun-lit park. "Yes! Let's do it. This way, Mike can have his board game time, and we can have best friend time!" I happily concurred. Max smiled, clapped her hands together and stood up.
Just then her phone rang. "I can get it." I said, walking to the phone.
"This is Jane Ives, but you did reach the Mayfeild's residence. How may I help you?" I said. "Hey El, it's Mike." Mike said through the phone.
"Oh no, something happened." I said, my brows furrowing.
"Yeah, Will called in sick from the flu, and said he couldn't play. We've tried playing with only three people, but it's not fun." He said, sighing halfway through it.
"What happened?" I hear Max say. "Will has the flu, and they can't play DnD." I told her, frowning. "Damn, that's sad. Tell Mike he can meet us at the park. He can sit on the benches with the boys to get some bro time." Max suggested.
"Aw, great idea Max!" I turned my attention back to Mike and told him the news.
"It would be nice to get out in the sun, I've been inside all week." Mike said, "We'll meet you there once I have everyone down, besides Will."
"Sweet, Max and I can bring him soup too, so you don't have to get ready immediately." I said. "Okay, bye! I love you." Mike said.
"I love you too, Mikey." I pecked into the phone and he did the same before I hung up.

Mike's Pov:
I have no idea why I haven't done this sooner. It's so pretty outside, and watching the girls skate around is surprisingly enjoyable. I looked to my other friends but they didn't seem to enjoy the time.
We were 15 now, why didn't they enjoy nature anymore?
"Guys, wanna play truth or dare?" I asked, a grin spreading on my face.
"Honestly, Mike, not really." Lucas said, Dustin nodded in agreement. I frowned and looked to my feet.
An idea came into mind.
"I'll tell Max about all of the drawings you asked Will to draw of her. And I can spill your silly song to El, Dustin." I could see Dustin shrugging.
"Remember how I would hum a song, and then for the next month she'd sing it all the time?" Dustin nodded, still confused.
"If I started screaming that song she'd start laughing so hard, and who knows how long she'll be singing it then." Dustin's eyes popped open.
"Okay, okay! We'll play, damn." Lucas said. Dustin sighed, "Dude, why do you have to do us like that?"
I laughed, "I love outsmarting you." I smiled.
"Lucas first, go on!" I giggled. Lucas, embarrassed, put a hand to his head. "Hey Dustin, truth or dare?" Lucas plainly said. "Dare." Dustin sighed.
"I dare you to go touch that tree." Lucas said, pointing to the one a few meters in front of us. Dustin groggily stood up, walked over to the tree, touched it, and walked back. "Guys, what the hell?" I said. "Eleven and Max invited us, we aren't going to waste this beautiful day!" I said, standing up.
"Woah, Mike. You must really care, your ears are turning red!" Lucas pointed. Dustin laughed and I was almost loosing it.
I started to stomp over to where El and Max were, and Lucas called. "Hey, big boy, what are you doing?"
"I'm gonna tell your girlfriend what you've been doing with those action figures!" I shouted back, my cheeks tinting red.
I walked over to Max and started explaining. I told her to smile a little and she did, loving the prank. "So now that they can't hear us your going to look at El, while she does the same with an amused expression," They did as told. "Now I'm gonna put my hands in the air and draw what's supposed to be a sun and you're both gonna laugh." They laughed. El even added a hand over her mouth and told Max to shush with her fingers.
I put my hands on my hips and started to act like Lucas, "Now I shall impersonate Lucas and you're both gonna laugh you're heads off until he walks over here." I finally finished.
As if it was really happening, El and Max burst out with laughter. I saw a shocked Lucas angrily stomp over. "Okay! We'll play your stupid ass game, Mike!" Lucas yelled. I smiled, gave the girls a thumbs up, and was happily dragged over by Lucas.
Eleven's Pov:
"Do you know what that was about?" I asked Max. I grabbed my skateboard and dropped it on the ground, rolling it with my feet.
"I don't think Lucas knows yet, but I found his fanfics of him and I, they are poorly written. So, very, poorly..." Max laughed. I chuckled too.
We skated around, swerved a tree, and I scrapped my right knee and bruised my elbow. Max face-planted while walking to the bench, because she tripped on a twig.
"Okay, we're done." Max sighed. "Yeah. Unlike someone, we're going to the roller rink. You can ride your bikes there." I scoffed.
Max and I threw down our boards and strolled off.
