For my friend, Kelly. Merry Christmas, love Paige.
It was Christmas Eve, you had sent your daughter off with your husband to start making cards for Santa. She was very excited for Christmas time because it was her favorite holiday. The joy she always had her eyes always reminded you much of your husband's. Your husband, Harry, got out some colored pieces of paper and your daughter's favorite colors. Your daughter knew she'd been a good girl this year but she wanted to make sure that she made a nice card for Santa that way he would know it for sure. It was always their tradition to be the ones to make the cards while you made the Christmas cookies. Both your daughter and Harry knew that you weren't all that good at cooking but your famous chocolate chip cookies were some of the best they ever tasted. You began to preheat the oven and peeked your head to the living room to see what they were up to. Your daughter was sitting at the table with your husband with their crayons in their hands. They were both coloring pictures on their cards of your family. Harry wasn't the best artist but he continued to color even though your daughter laughed at him. You smiled in the doorway of the kitchen into the living room. The holiday times were perfect because you all got to spend it together. You and Harry weren't working all the time and your daughter was off school. Harry looked over and saw you peeking in the doorway, he smiled largely like he does, and whispered something to your daughter. She grabbed Harry's picture and ran up to you with her's in the other hand. "Mommy, look at the pictures me and daddy drew." She yelled with a smile just as giant as his. Harry's picture of her was pretty good to your surprise and your daughters was so cute. The cookie timer went off in the kitchen and you had to go back and finish them while Harry helped her with what the next part to the letter was and when they were finished, they put them on the refrigerator door.
I hope you like it.Thank you for reading and have a happy holidays. -Paige (@LuvTommoCarrots)
