Shinigami got a lead to his next target being at a warehouse near Hosu. He arrives with his car parked across the street.
Shinigami: Dramatic entrance... Dramatic entrance...
He takes out his pistols and broke through the window only to find the place empty.
Shinigami: Well, that pretty much frees my day.
He puts his guns away and searched the warehouse. The only thing he could find was a note and a bullet that coming at him.
(1:31-2:37)
He couldn't make out the sniper, but had a hunch that he'll find out soon. He heads back with the note on the floor, "Shadow, You are too late". Shinigami heads back, but sees a bar.
Shinigami: Might as well.
He enters and took a seat in front of the counter.
Bar Tender: Howdy. What will it be?
Shinigami: Tequila and Tonic. And, uh. Turn up the TV.
The bar tender does so and fixed up his drink.
Female Reporter: Detective Cromwell, concerning possible suspects, rumors have surfaced that there is a vigilante in town, who is hunting down Cappuccino.
Cromwell: There is no evidence for your vigilante theory. As far as I'm concerned, the suspect or suspects involved in these homicides are no friends of the police or heroes. We will do what is necessary to bring them to justice. Thank you.
Shinigami: I don't think so. I'll have another with some pizza to go with it. And you can turn that crap off now.
~***~
Detective Cromwell parked in front of the warehouse and begins his investigation. He found the place full of bullet holes, but no bodies.
Right as he was about to leave, he spots the assassin in the bar with his car parked in front. He enters with his badge and revolver hidden.
Bar Tender: What can I get you?
Cromwell: Scotch. Single malt. Speyside. No ice.
Bar Tender: A man of taste. There you go.
It was quite between the two even with the other contenders having their fills. Cromwell decided to break the silence with a conversation.
Cromwell: This is a rough part of town. Do you always sit with your back to the entrance?
Shinigami: (drinks) Doesn't matter who comes in. Isn't it against police regulation to be drinking during the day?
Cromwell: I'm a detective. Our regulations are a little different. How'd you know I was with the police?
Shinigami: You know, (points at TV) you're much uglier in person.
Cromwell: Heh. My name is Detective Cromwell. And you are?
Jack: Jack.
Cromwell: Well, Jack... I guess you heard what happened this morning over at the warehouse on Pan-ya Street.
Jack: Yeah, I know about it.
Cromwell: Really. Tell me what you know.
Jack: Why don't we cut to the chase. Why don't you tell me what you know.
