It could've been a cold or maybe a damn chest infection, but not matter what she'd be doing her breath was shortened quite a bit. She would even walk down the stairs at a normal pace, and still get out of breath; it was really annoying. She couldn't really do the things she liked most despite lounging in her bed all day with snacks and Netflix. And yes she didn't tell her father because she didn't want him to worry.
Even though Rebel asked her multiple times what the problem was, Y/N kept to herself like a girl who got out of a relationship. But obviously that it's gonna come with a serious price not telling when asked.
Y/N was making her way to her after school football club, her friends suggested she should try it. Not because they we're going, but to let out some steam and have a run around like idiotic 7 year olds.
She stopped for a second putting her hand on her chest, a rattly noise escaped her throat as she breathed in and out. Not to mention her chest feels like it's getting tighter, as if someone is hugging her to death. But obviously Y/N shook it off and ignored it walking on.
Once she reached her destination, she went to the changing rooms where her two friends hannah and Mikayla we're waiting for her. They hugged, gossiped and other things girls do. But they both noticed Y/N was slower then usual and I did bother them.
"Y/N you ok? Your a little slow today" Hannah asked placing a hand on her shoulder.
Y/N just nodded closing her locker. She walked to the entrance of the field where other kids ran around like Maniacs. Her chest didn't feel so tight so she might be able to take part in the little football activities after all.
After Hannah and Mikayla came out, all three made there way onto the field and started the games. They ran around kicking the ball to eachother but again Y/N stopped taking a breath and the rattly...well more like weezy sound came back. Now her friends are worried. Even the coach started making assumptions.
"Y/N what's wrong? your usually full of spirit and energy" The coach said raising his eyebrow.
"I'm fine it's just...my chest hurts a little that's all" she replied as the weezy sound was more louder as she breathed in a out.
"I think you should go home and rest, you can come back tomorrow" The coach suggested walking her in the direction to the changing rooms. But Y/N moved away giving a serious face.
"I'm fine ok, just give me a minute to catch her breath" she declared going back with the others getting ready to start the big match.
The coach just sighed but allowed her to continue, nothing was gonna stop Y/N from doing this. She wasn't even gonna let her friends stop her. That's how determined Y/N is to prove she is fine. I mean it's just a small chest infection.
It's been 20 minutes into the game and things aren't looking very good. Y/N's team was winning at the moment and Y/N had the ball, she was close to the goal but she couldn't breath very well. Her chest felt so tight she kicked the ball somewhere collapsing on all fours gripping her chest.
Hannah and Mikayla ran over with a few other kids surrounding her. The coach moved them back so Y/N can have space and not feel claustrophobic.
"Y/N what-" Mikayla got cut off.
"I c-can't breath...." Y/N stuttered gripping her chest.
"Just hold on I'll call ambulance since the nurse isn't here" The coach insisted grabbing his phone calling them.
Y/N just layed stone dead, struggling like hell. This isn't just some normal pain where you can just walk it off. This is serious to the point where an ambulance has to get involved. Stupid nurse should've been here.
Y/N closed her eyes, the sounds around her sounded foggy and distant. Was she dead?. Probably who knows she could be on her way to heaven right now. But deep down she felt regret that she didn't tell her father, for friends or her coach that she wasn't fine. She could've been treated ages ago and all would've be fine.
But no.
She had to be so hard on herself to convince everyone that she was fine. Even though it wasn't completely obvious that she was. Looks like she paid the serious price for not telling.

Y/N!
Y/N can you hear me!
Y/N opened her eyes slowly groaning. Once her eyes fulling adjusted to the light, she sat up slowly but got pushed back down gently by her red masked father who had a serious look on his face.
"Dad-"
"What's wrong with you!" Rebel yelled cutting Y/N off.
"Dad I-I'm sorry...I know I should've said something but....I just couldn't" she sighed looking away.
Rebel turned her face back to him cupping her cheek gently.
"You shouldn't be afraid to tell me anything, yes I am a hothead and I have a short temper but your my daughter and your my top priority" Rebel said placing a kiss on her forehead.
Y/N smiled rubbing her cheek against his three finger hand.
"I'm sorry dad I promise to talk to you more" Y/N reassured.

It's been about a week since Y/N was in that hospital. Y/N got diagnosed with asthma and the doctor said Y/N was completely lucky she got to the hospital when she did. IF she didn't she could've been on the border of death. Yes DEATH!.
She carries a inhaler around, especially when she is out. Don't want to end up in hospital again. Guess she learnt her lesson even though you don't want people to worry about you, better to let them worry then know nothing.
Better safe then sorry. Or how ever the quote goes.
