Wilbur was talking to Fundy when it happened. He felt sick and told his son he had to go lay down for a little. After Fundy left, Wilbur sat down and thought about what had caused him to feel sick. It was probably nothing.

"Hello, Wilbur."  Wilbur jumped at the sound of a mysterious voice. "I need you to see something."  Wilbur looked around, confused as to where the voice had come from. Suddenly, everything flashed white and he saw his home, L'Manburg, but people were gathered around discussing something important. Most of his friends looked a little frightened, but overall ok. "This is going to be hard for you."

"Why? All I see are my friends gathered and no one moving." Wilbur thought this wasn't a bad moment to be in, considering the thoughts he had experienced the day before. "In fact, this seems good, so what is it that will be hard?" He wasn't sure if he wanted the answer, but he was pretty sure that he was supposed to ask.

"What came next." Another small flash of light came to Wilbur and this time he was in the room he dreaded. He saw himself, looking mad and scared, discussing something with Philza. He thought it wasn't that bad, but then he went pale.

"I - I - It was me?" He asked numbly, staring at this other, most likely future, Wilbur's hand, only an inch away from the button that would destroy L'Manburg, his home, with tons of TNT. "I pushed the button?" He had known that someone would push it if it was left there, and he was going to help Philza remove it sometime soon . . . was that when he pushed it?

"I'm afraid," The voice continued with pain, "That it gets much worse. Although no one died in the explosion, the aftermath did more damage than any explosive could do."  Worse? That would blow up the whole city. How could there be worse? "I have to show you, I don't have a choice. Watch carefully."  Suddenly time began again and he heard himself talking to Philza, sounding like a madman. What had happened that he would go this crazy?

"There's no point now, everything I worked towards is gone." Had he been hurt that badly? "I've been here seven or eight times now, Phil. SEVEN OR EIGHT TIMES! I think it's time." Philza didn't seem surprised, only scared. His future self laughed suddenly, a terrifying laugh that scared Wilbur. He didn't know that he could laugh like that, but then again he didn't he would do this either. "You know Phil, there was a traitor, once part of L'Manberg. I don't know if you've heard of Eret? He had a saying, Phil. It was never meant to be." Wilbur was surprised and terrified, but it was too late. With those words he had pushed the button, leaving Philza in shock.
