1985

"Sathy, I'm gonna get you!" He giggled as he chased Lesath on his toy broomstick, which hovered no more than three inches off the ground. Lesath laughed and continued running. After a while Lesath got tired of running.

"Draco can I have a turn?"

He crossed his arms, "No."

"Come on, Draco!" They whined. "You know mine is broken."

"So? Father promised to buy another one for you tomorrow. Can't you wait?"

"That doesn't mean we can't share!" Lesath looked up past Draco, grinned and cried, "Father!"

Then Draco turned around to see his father. "Daddy!"

He smiled pleasantly at the two tykes. "Come inside, it's time to eat. What were you two arguing about before I got here?"

"Lesath was just whining about their toy broomstick that they broke."

"We're going shopping tomorrow, we can get another while we're there."

By the time they finished talking, they were in the dining room. The mansion had a dark, yet classy color scheme and Lesath was proud to call it their home. The dinner was delicious, as usual and if it wasn't- Lucius would complain to Dobby, the house elf and have him beat himself up literally and figuratively. After dinner, Narcissa told Draco and Lesath to get ready for bed and ordered Dobby to make sure they did so. After the children were finished in the bathroom, they said goodnight to each other and headed to their seperate rooms to find their pajamas laid out on the bed. Lesath put on the white silk pajamas and slipped into bed. Tonight, Narcissa would be reading her a bedtime story. More specifically, The Tale of the Three Brothers by Beedle the Bard. They waited in their bed for their mom to arrive. The sound of the doorknob turning sparked their attention. Narcissa walked through the door with the book in hand. Her long, blonde hair was tied up into a bun that sat at her nape. She was wearing a black, flowy, victorian style nightgown.

"Are we gonna read the story with the brothers, Mum?"

"Yes, Lesath we are. Now settle down." And so she opened the book and began to tell the story...

Lesath yawned. "Could you tell me another?"

Her mom gave her a warm smile and said, "Sorry, gem. It's late. Now lay down and go to sleep." She got up from the side of the bed, turned the light off and said "I love you." before closing the door. Soon, Lesath was fast asleep.

They could hear a twisted sort of laughter coming from the other room, so they ran to see what it was. Lesath went to the source of the laughter and saw a tall black haired woman. They looked... familiar? She wasn't sure where she saw that person before. Maybe out in public, in a movie, or photograph?

The woman turned around, wand in hand. "Lesath? Oh, you've grown up so fast!"

"Give me a hug!" Bellatrix lowered herself to her knees and squeezed Lesath.

But something was wrong. Lesath looked over their Bellatrix's shoulder as they embraced. Were those bodies? A man and a woman spasming in pain out on the floor; their eyes so full of pain.

"W-who are those people?" In response to this, Bellatrix's face began to contort into a blurred mess, then she took out her wand and pointed it right at the child. Right before she began the spell, Lesath woke up.

Lesath woke up in a cold sweat. It was just a nightmare, it wasn't real, but they didn't want to go back to sleep, so they ran to their aunt. They flung open the door to their parent's bedroom.

"Mum?" No response. "Mum!" Lesath repeated this time shaking Narcissa awake.

Narcissa was half asleep, annoyed, and still very groggy. "What?"

Before Lesath could tell Narcissa about their nightmare, Lucius sat up and tiredly scolded them. "Come on, dear. . . we're trying to sleep."

This was the first time Lesath had a nightmare like this. For the rest of their life they would experience a similar dream every couple of months and after a while, they would just learn to live with it. It should be alright. It's just a dream.
