Chapter 7

Pearls sundress ^

Pearls p.o.v:

When Opal came in to wake me, I was already awake. I couldn't sleep I was sooo nervous but excited too. When I Opal came in, I did an Oscar worthy performance and pretended like I just woke up adding a yawn and everything. I went to the kitchen to grab a juice box and saw opal making breakfast hopefully she would leave with Ivy soon. She made waffles they were amazing as always, she pre-added syrup but when she turned around, I added more. Ivy was watching me from across the kitchen island, maybe she was planning on stealing my juice box? I continued eating, sipping my juice box when I finished, I went to my room to have a shower. I did the usual and washed my hair and used a berry body wash, I was probably going to wear a dress, so I shaved my legs. I stayed in my bathroom as I checked my phone. I saw a message from Matze (pronounced mats but a fun spelling), I chose the nickname last night it suits him.

Matze: I'm picking you up at 11:45, be outside your apartment building.

Wait how did he know where I live? He probably knew because of Opals business. Right?  

Me: Okay :)

I had two hours! To do my hair, get an outfit, and sneak out! Oh jeez.

I left the bathroom and went straight to my closet looking at all the choices. Making decisions sucked.

"Need help?" I squealed and jumped. I turned around and saw Ivory smirking. Lying also sucked but I really wanted to sneak out.

"Nope I'm good Ivy" I quickly looked back at my closet and I hear Ivy come up behind me. She looked at my closet for a few seconds before muttering 'he sure liked the white on you yesterday' my head snapped towards her to see her leaving my room. Maybe she meant something else.

I decided to go with a white dress it reached to just above my knees it has loose straps which meant my back was bare but id grab a cardigan. It also has the cutest bow that met on my chest. I grabbed a pale pink cropped cardigan and some sandals. I heard Opal and Ivy shout there goodbyes and heard the elevator close. I was 11:15 which meant I had half an hour. I grabbed another juice box from the kitchen and saw Jackson watching some crime show on TV, I could sneak out now and wait for Matze. I grabbed my phone and my juice box, luckily it is a warm day I headed for my elevator just as Ivy jumped out of the hallway. I screamed and threw my juice box Jackson raced over to us clutching something in his suit jacket. Once he saw us, he relaxed and shook his head at us muttering something about having a heart attack, he was young I on the other hand almost died due to shock. Ivy stood with her arms folded smirking.

"Cute outfit, where's he taking you?" uh oh.

"H-he said a park and its only lunch and we're only friends and ill text you where I am all the time!" I rushed it all out in one breath and looked at her hopefully.

"Chill kid I'm not Opal, you don't have to message me I trust him. Kinda." I nodded. Wait.

"Does Opal know?" Ivy looked down at me and smiled.

"Not until Jackson tells her" She rolled her eyes Jackson walked out from the living room guiltily. "Snitch" Ivy shouted.

"I wasn't going to sneak out Jackson!" he looked at me not quite believing my small lie.

"Yeah I was going to go with her" I looked at Ivy and smiled.

Jackson watched as we went into the elevator and I let out a breath. The nerves crept back into my mind. I was going out, alone. Ivy seemed to notice as she grabbed my hand.

"He told me he was going to ask you out for lunch yesterday. I said yes of course. I also have his number, so don't worry Pearly" she squeezed my hand as I calmed a little. We walked out of the elevator and out of the building and I saw Matze leaning against his rolls Royce. He was wearing black slacks and a white shirt with the top three buttons undone. He looked good. No. better than good. Handsome.

I looked back up at him and he was smirking. Oh jeez. I definitely just checked him out, and he definitely caught me I smiled at him and he looked me up and down. I hope he liked my outfit. He pushed himself of the car and walked up to me, he wrapped his arms round me and I hugged him back leaning into him. I forgot Ivy was with us and I looked back at her to see her smirking. I felt my face heat up and buried it into Matze's chest. Reluctantly he pulled away keeping his hand on my lower back as he looked at Ivy. They did a mutual nod to each other and I had to hold back a laugh. I waved bye to ivy and she smiled as I got into his car.

My nerves soon turned onto excitement as I saw a picnic basket and blanket on his back seat.
