The boys returned to school, where some classmates and teachers were shouting "Next time will be", "You were the best", "We have time to get ever better". In that moment, Akaashi realized that he got something that he was worried. "What did Bokuto-san mean when he said 'time'?"

Akaashi would normally take it easy when he knew what Bokuto-san was trying to say, but this time was a little bit different. His voice, his look and his smile where a bit different from what he used to see, it wasn't new, but he wasn't used to it. When he was about to ask him, the coach mentioned that they get to the gym to talk about the thing that they could from today.

Akaashi and Bokuto had to go to the front and say that the new captain will be Akaashi.

"Hey hey hey! The next tournament you have to win it, got it? You have time to improve and get even better than we were today. Thanks for all of this year." - Bokuto ended with a big smile.

All the third years were impressed with what the captain just said. It was rare to see Bokuto saying something so importante without messing around and cheking if he used any word correctly. Nevertheless, the one who knew him better than anyone else was quiet and thinking.

'Would Bokuto-san mean that we have time to get better? Or it has another meaning? He usually says think without thinking, but this days he has changed.' - Akaashi thought with his mind full of doubts.

The coach mentioned that there was a BBQ waiting for them outside to get their heaps up, thought, he knew a manager would eat most of it.

There was no meat after 30 minutes, and Akaashi knew he had to talk to Bokuto-san, so he could find peace in these storm of doubts.

"Boku..." - Akaashi tried to say

"Akaaashiiii, can you help with my spikes just a little?" - Bokuto said with his usual smile.

"... Sure." - Akaashi said knowing this would take some time.

"Even today, is he merciless?" - Konoha said

"Well, always been like that." - Saru said

Bokuto and Akaashi returned to the gym to practice. And Akaashi was ready to ask him.

"Bokuto-san, what did you me by time when we left the tournament? I didn't want to bother you in the bus nor in the BBQ." - Akaashi said after tossing him the ball.

"So that's what bothered you..."- Bokuto said relieved - "I wanted to play more time with you guys, like I said on the second day.." - Bokuto take a breath- "...nothing else."

Akaashi understood the wish of the captain of wanting to keep on playing with them, but he didn't understand why his chest hurt so much when he heard that phrase again.
