Mafuyu awoke to feel a different atmosphere; he raised his head and was met with bright light from the sun in his eyes. He sighed and left the comfort of his bed and dragged his feet behind him on the way to his closet. He got dressed still feeling like something was wrong but decided to ignore it. Mafuyu left his room and made his way to the kitchen to be met with a surprise. "Mom? You normally aren't home at this time" he said staring at her as if she was not real and his mom turned to him eyebrow quirked, "what do you mean? I'm normally here at this time" she replied. 'What? that's not true' the ginger-haired boy thought to himself but decided he wouldn't question her anymore. "Nevermind my bad'' Mafuyu said sheepishly and stared at the bubbling eggs while they were slowly being cooked.

"I think I'll head to school early" he said and his mom nodded "Alright take this lunch with you and say hi to Yuki for me" she said as she handed him a bento box. "What?" he said, stopping in his tracks and turning back to her, she tilted her head, giving him the confused expression again and Mafuyu voice cracked as he replied "o-okay" he still wasn't quite sure what was happening when he left the kitchen. Mafuyu packed his back and put his shoes on then left the house with so many questions in his mind.

The walk to school was overall uneventful, he kicked the pebbles against his shoes watching them roll back and forth, and suddenly he heard his name being called from a distance. Mafuyu glanced over with sudden attention to his surroundings, the trees around him and the voice drawing near. He was almost near his school when he turned around to the voice he saw his two friends Hiigari and Shizusumi, he sighed h and picked up his pace.He hoped they would get the hint he didn't want to talk but they continued calling, they didnt stop, so he turned around to face the music. "Hey Mafuyu! Want to walk to school with us?" Higari asked in an enthusiastic tone, Mafuyu tilted his head and furrowed his eyebrows slightly "What do you-" he was caught off by Higari linking their arms and walking towards the direction of the two's school. Mafuyu tripped over his feet after being pulled so suddenly but kept walking with the desire to not fall. He looked behind him at Shizusumi with a look of disbelief and Shizusumi just shrugged following along.
Currently Mafuyu was zoning out thinking about the fact that he would be late for his classes at this point and was thinking of excuses but nonetheless he was aware the Hiigari was saying something but it sounds all muffled. They found themselves in front of Mafuyu's old school or I guess Hiigari and Shizusumi's school, he felt Hiigari unlink their arms and finally decided to say something. "why did you bring me here?" Mafuyu asked with a tone filled with aggravation and slight confusion, the last place he wanted to be was here it reminded him of things he'd rather forget. Hiigari lightly chuckled "what do you mean?" he asked, Shizusumi turned to Mafuyu with an odd expression. Before Mafuyu could answer he felt someone come up and hug him from behind. "Hi Mafuyu'' the voice of the person said,what the hell? Why the hell did that voice sound so familiar?It almost sounded like.
