The Stand off

The Crusaders under Lietchen watch as his forces position themselves into formation before seeing one eyed knights that he never seen before. They are slightly larger and bulkier than your average knight with some processing a large oval shield and carrying what he could call an extended magi pistol.

What is more interesting is that those very same machines positioned themselves facing them with their weapons drawn and shields up front. One of his captains are shouting that they should charge immediately while others are more cautious in this matter.

 That is until one of the machine started to move towards escorted by two other units. One is another one eyed unit that carries an axe and a simple oval shield. It has a rounded head with tubes running around the body.

The other one has a thick chest armor and carries a large shield and some kind of a weaponized tubes on its shoulders. Its head is similar to most knights as well as the visor covering the machine's face, if it had any. Upon reaching a certain distance between them, they simply stood there waiting for something.

Lietchen understood what this meant and said "I want two of the best knights to come with me"

He exited the ship in his white and grey knight that has an heavy emphasis on defense with two large heater shields covering each arm of the machine as he is followed by two man of arms type of knights with its brown even thou that it lacked the arms on the back of the machine.

They marched towards the three strange knights and Lietchen said "I am Commander Lietchen of the Republic of Ictaa, to whom I'm speaking?"

"My name Villeta Vadim, Captain of the 1st Company from the third Mobile suit Battalion of the Private Military Union"

'A woman?' Lietchen thought, although it is not uncommon for women to pilot knights, it's greatly frowned upon within the Republic, especially those who live near or within the Capital Region.

"Both of you, don't do anything that might provoke them" He said as he could picture the faces of the knights to turn sour as one of them clicks his tongue.

"Captain, I am here by the order of pope Sardan of the western Papal states to eradicate those whom didn't follow the way of the great one" Lietchen declared but it left a bad taste in his mouth of forcing himself to say those words, especially for someone who believes that the far barbarians of the west and the east are a bigger threat than the other civilized countries while the three opposing knights simply stood there.

The Commander could see that the opposing army already positioned themselves and could charge at them in any moment while the refugees continuously increase their distance from the crusaders and some soldiers from the Western Papal states started to shout at him.

"Forgive me Commander, but those Refugees hired us to protect them and we are willing to uphold our contract until it expires" Villeta.

"Contract?, You're mercenaries"

"Yes, P.M.U is a mercenary company after all"

'Then there's a way to avoid this unnecessary battle' Lietchen thought before walking forward with a few steps and said "How about this, We will pay you two or three times the money than what the Refugees paid you, in return, your army will join the crusade" After declaring, Villeta suddenly said "Sorry 'bout that, but we ain't taking bribes. Feel free to hire us after our contract expires"

"And why is that?" Lietchen asked

"Simple, we show any form of disloyalty, we'll lose many potential clients and that is extremely bad for business" Villeta answered with before adding "From how things looks like, We both want to avoid this battle"
