The wind was especially crisp this afternoon. The supernatural world rarely got wind during this time of year. The weather remained warm and cool all year round, never once having a speck of snow. It's been that way forever.
As Yuri felt the cool wind blow through her hair as she sat on a table outside, a book in hand and her headphones in as the music blasted through her ears, she couldn't help but miss winter back in the real world.
Her body contradicted it, for her power was fire, but opposites attract and Yuri couldn't help but love the winter. The way the snow looked absolutely beautiful on the dead trees, how the air smelt so crisp—like it was thin and clean—how the aura around humans shifted during the holidays.
Winter felt like a never ending movie.
As Yuri's nose buried into her interesting book, she flinched when a hand snatched the book away from her hands. Her eyes widened as she flinched in her seat, looking up at the person before different culprit rips the headphones from her ears.
She whipped her head to her side, the two people immediately sitting themselves on the table. "Hm, I never pegged you for the romance type," Taehyung muttered as he scanned the stolen paperback in his hands. Yuri flushed red as she attempted to steal the book back. He only smirked, holding it out of her reach.
"Did you hear about what Lily and Ben are saying in their broadcast?" Jimin asked from beside her, her wired headphones in his hand.
She huffed, giving up the fight with Taehyung as she turned to look at her brother from beside her. "I didn't. What happened?" she asked, genuinely curious.
The ordeal with Taehyung's dad had the whole school talking for the entire weekend. Ben and Lily's broadcast only commenced on school days, it was no surprise they would suddenly talk about it this Monday afternoon.
"They're talking about my dad, of course," Taehyung grumbled, setting the book down onto the table before leaning his chin on his hand.
Jimin nodded, his eyes glancing at his best friend before looking back over at Yuri. "Yeah, but that's not all. They also talked about you and Taehyung," he told her, a weary look on his face.
"What about us?" she murmured, sliding her book toward her.
Jimin shrugged. "You tell me. Is there anything going on between you two?" he suddenly asked, surprising the both of them as he scrutinized their expressions.
"What?!" Jimin found it kind of funny how they shouted that at the same time.
The look on their faces when they received the sudden attack of a question from Jimin made him crack a laugh. "I'm kidding! Gosh, I know that'd never happen." He shook his head, a grin on his face. "But seriously, Ben and Lily beg to differ. They really think you two have a secret relationship going on. Don't be surprised if they stalk you guys."
