The barista watched as Tony Stark walked into her shop. Next to him was a talkative, cute teen. She smiled, although it was fake. She listened carefully to their order. She nodded politely before turning around to prepare them. Two hot chocolates. She carefully took out a small vile she kept in her pocket. She slipped one bean of ricin into it. This was payback for Tony Stark. She grinned evilly.

He was an egotistical jerk. She had fired her father for a simple mistake, and they had gone broke. For 3 years of her life she had had to work instead of hanging out with other kids. Instead of focusing on studies she focused on bills. Her father had fallen ill. She hadn't been able to pay the medical bill. He had died. And it was all Tony Stark's fault. He was going to pay.

She turned around and smiled sweetly.

"Here you go sir! On the house!" Tony put down a $50 bill anyway carelessly and thanked her. She wanted to sneer. He so carelessly handed out money. She could imagine how much that $50 would have done for her when she was younger. Closer to completing rent. Maybe a dinner for once. That $50 might have saved her father. But not anymore. Not anymore.

She watched as Tony grabbed the drink.

The kid said something to him and Tony laughed. He handed the kid that cup and took the other one. The barista watched in horror as they both took a long sip. The kid wrinkled his nose in disgust.

The barista took a deep breath but the kid just drank the rest and threw away the cup. He didn't react. But the barista knew. The poison could kick in any minute. The kid and Tony walked out the store and she shut her eyes.

She had poisoned an innocent kid. She fixed her posture.

Oh well. All in a day's work. Next time she would get Stark. She turned back to the next customer.

"How can I help you?" She asked sweetly.

It was a snow day. Peter's favorite type of day. Although spiders didn't do well in the cold, he loved the feeling of snow, how majestic each delicate snowflake was.

He decided to spend this snow day in a small town nearby. It was cozy with a bunch of cute shops. He and Mr.Stark had to mostly stay in the shops because of Peter's heating problem.

They found themselves in a cute coffee shop. The line wasn't too long and before they knew it they were in the front.

"What would you like?" She asked politely. There was something off with her smile but Peter decided it was nothing.

"One coffee and one hot chocolate," Tony said.

Peter looked at him. "Make that 2 hot chocolates and no coffee," He said glaring at Tony. Tony glared back. Peter gave him puppy eyes and he sighed.

"What the kid said," she said reluctantly. Peter smiled brightly. The barista turned around and busily prepared their drinks.

She took quite a long time before turning around and handing them two small plastic coffee cups full of steaming hot chocolate.

She smiled once more and once more her smile felt....wrong. "It's on the house!" She chipped. Tony slammed down a $50 bill on the counter anyways and thanked her. He took one of the cups.

Peter frowned. "Mr.Stark!"

Tony turned to look at him with a questioning look.

"Can I have that cup?" He said shyly. "I like the snowflake pattern on it!" He said brightly. Tony shook his head laughing and handed it to him before taking the reindeer design cup. They both took a big gulp.

Peter wrinkled his nose in disgust. It was dark and bitter and the taste was off. There was a light taste of chocolate but something was off.

Tony wrinkled his nose too.

"Bitter?" Peter asked.

Tony shook his head. "Are you kidding? It's too sweet!"

Nevertheless they both quickly finished theirs not wanting to waste it before throwing it away. They both walked out of the store.

They wandered around for a little bit longer (Peter had gotten a new lego set :P) they had decided to get back since it was dark.

They entered the tower and they had both departed to their selective rooms. Peter crashed under the thick warm layers of blankets. It was a relief after the cold from outside.

He had fallen into a deep sleep, before waking up from a horrible pain. He felt as if he was suffocating, and once again had asthma. He took heavy breaths, his hand over his chest. 'In and out in and out' but it wasn't working. He felt extremely hot and quickly got out from under the stack of blankets. The cool air did nothing to help him and instead he felt hotter. He collapsed to his knees on the cool ground hitting his knees with a thump.

""Fri-friday ca'l M'S'r'k" He said his vision was fading. His head was spinning and he felt he was going to throw up. Through his hazy vision he could hear Tony calling for him. Then he heard panicked yelling and someone shaking his shoulders.

"M'r. S'k" He said weakly. "I' hr'ts' He heard a frantic 'PETER' before his vision fading into black.

Tony sat in the medbay, holding Peter's clammy hands Bruce was working frantically running multiple tests. Tony sat there defeated. He was curious as to why Friday had said Peter was calling for him. When he got there he was shocked to find a weak Peter collapsed on the floor, half conscious.

He had been sweating bullets and was looking at him through glazed eyes. He had been terrified. Knowing that Peter was hurting and he didn't know what to do.

"Tony!" Bruce said snapping Tony out of his recollection of memories. Tony looked up at him sharply.

"Do you know anything?" He asked desperately.

Bruce wiped sweat out of his forehead. "H-he has ricin in his system."

"And?" Tony asked. Bruce's face is grim.

"There is no cure."

"NO!" Tony yelled. He couldn't believe it. "NO, NO, NO, NO ,NO" He was sobbing now. "No..no..not Peter"

He felt firm hands grip his shoulder. "Tony loo at me." Bruce commanded. Tony looked weakly up.

"I didn't say all hope is lost. There is a chance." Tony looked up at him hope in his eyes.

"He has a healing factor and advanced metabolism. I bet it won't affect him like others. He is currently in a coma. But I'm betting a lot of money he will be up in a few days. We just have to wait."

And so they did.

2 days have passed. They had been hell. Tony barely slept and eating was definitely not on his to-do list. There was only one thing on his list. To be with a happy, healthy, awake Peter Benjamin Parker. And so he waited by his bedside 24/7.

On the 3rd day he finally woke up. Tony had finally given up and ate a proper meal, before falling asleep holding Peter's limp hand.

The limp hand that moved. Tony had shot awake when he felt something tighten against his finger. He looked around frantically only to find Peter's hand wrapped around his pointer finger.

"Friday call Bruce!" He said excitedly.

"Peter," He said, leaning over Peter. He shook him slightly. "Hey bud, can you open your eyes for me?" He said, trying to stay calm.

Peter slowly opened his eyes. "Mr.Stark?" He asked weakly.

"The one and only."
