I didn't understand how to make a second part. Plus I was writing on mobile. I hope you are enjoying so far and that you enjoy Part III (technically part 2)
Chapter 3 On Our Way to CHB
Flying is unforgettable. I can't believe I'm this high up. We are amongst the clouds now, rarely getting a glimpse of the towns, and never-ending fields that never seem to stop. Milkyways wings sound loud and powerful as he soars through the sky, I have no idea where I'm going or why I agreed to this. But at this moment, I'm not regretting anything. There isn't much talking between us, we wouldn't be able to hear each other if we tried.
All of a sudden, completely what seemed out of nowhere, BAM. Lightning struck through the clouds, and dark gray, thick looking clouds rolled in. Thunder started rumbling, and Eryk turned around, his green eyes concerned. Trevor was turned towards him looking as though he expected orders. We slowed down considerably, and Eryks mouth started to move, but nothing audible came through them. It looked as if he were sighing, and then he montioned for us to follow him and he turned and started flying downward.
When we were safely landed on the ground, and could hear each other again Eryk looked at me and said:
Who are you a daughter of? Because someone certainly didn't want us in the sky.
Maybe Hades? Trevor said thoughtfully, looking at me intently.
We will find out eventually, I guess. Eryk said, looking around. Uhh... Where are we? Well, whereever we are we should let the pegasi walk behind us and rest a bit.
That was the question we should've been asking. Not whether or not I was the daughter of Hades, or any other Greek God that is out there. That's pretty absurd. But looking at where I was sitting I everything seemed more than slightly odd. We were in the middle of a field like a plain, grassy field. I doubted Diameter, or whatever her name was, would show up.
We started walking around but it seemed to be a never ending field. I started getting hungry, considering it was now 4 and the last thing I had ate was breakfast this morning.
Where are we going? I complained.
Long Island, New York. Trevor answered.
I pulled out my phone. No service, and 5% battery left. Sucks, can't play Crossy Road. The thunder and lightning hadn't receded, and only grew into a full out downpour. Soaking my hair and the top of my bookbag, and purse that I had managed to keep with me. I was starting to fall behind. Eryk turned around and there must of been a look of great discomfort on my face because he stopped Trevor, waited for me to catch up, and formed a bubble around us made out of rainwater.
How-? I ask, staring at him in disbelief.
I'm a son of Posiedon. I wasn't sure if I could control rainwater because it was created by Zues, but look at me now. He laughs, looking at the bubble he's created around himself.
So, does this mean I am the daughter of a Greek God? And what exactly is waiting for us in Long Island.
I'll answer your second question first. Camp Half-Blood is waiting for us in Lond Island. It's a camp for demigods, like you and I. And to answer your first question, yes it does mean you are the daughter of a Greek God. Everything will be explained when we get to our destination. We know your a demigod because we've been watching you... That sounds weird... I promise you it was not in a creepy way.
Don't try to justify stalking. We make eye contact and I smirk, and he blushes looking away.
We walk the rest of the way in silence, except for the one monster I couldn't identify that Eryk flawlessy chopped the head off of. Trevor periodically looking between Eryk and myself with a confused expression.
We are almost there. I can smell the campfire. Trevor says after a lot of weird silence. And about 5 minutes later a high-pitched girly scream erupts from behind us. We turn and a short girl no more than 5 feet tall, with short, curly brown hair is running full-force at us with a couple monsters, I think centaurs, behind her, a dagger she must've thrown at them in one of its' thighs. She wouldve have blended in with the forest to our left if not for her shirt. She was wearing a bright orange T-shirt that had a pegasus on it reading Camp Half-Blood, and she had a bow and quiver full of arrows strung to her back.
Eryk ran over, his sword materializing in his hand. Trevor went over too, swinging his baseball bat madly. One centaur turned on Eryk and the other followed the girl. One hit on the back with a metal baseball bat was enough to turn the other centaur around, and the girl, not hearing the stomping of hooves any longer, turned and stopped running. She whipped off her bow and grasped an arrow, knocking it into place and letting it fly. Peircing the centaur in the gut. It turned towards her and she let the arrow she had already set up go. The arrow hit the centaur just below its collarbone, and it let out a horrible guttural scream and collapsed to the ground. The centaur that had been fighting Eryk turned and looked at his fallen comrade and cried out. Giving Eryk enough time to stab the centaur through the back the tip going through his body and poking out on the other side. He pulled his sword back and the centaur collapsed. Within the next five minutes both centaurs had dissipated into a cloud of gold dust.
I sneezed. The sneeze was mostly because during that fight I had buried my head in Milkyways fur to avoid passing out. I was still trembling, and I had looked up enough to know what went down. Everyones eyes are on me, and I felt uncomfortable Then, the girl walked boldy over to me, stuck out her hand and said:
Hi, I'm Brooklyn Masquerade. Member of the Apollo cabin, and probably the best hunter you'll ever meet.
