Chapter 20 -

Draco: 

1 month! That was how long I had kept visiting the hospital, hoping that when I go, Hermione will wake up. Once or twice I had felt her hand brush his,  but the doctors didn't believe me and told me he had to leave. Today it was Blaise, Pansy, Luna and my turn to go and visit her. Honestly, the healers were probably tired of seeing them, but there was no way he would miss a day of seeing her. When we got there I was met with a surprise. A big one! The healers saud that Hermione had been making progress and she should be waking up anytime this week. But we didn't have to wait for that week. We were about to leave when I heard a whisper,"Draco."

I turned around to see Hermione with her eyes open, sitting upright on the bed. 
"Hermione!" I went over and hugged her. Then she started coughing. I laid her head back down and went over to the bedside table and grabbed a glass of water.
"Blasie, Luna go get the healers." 
"Draco, what happened?" she croaked. 
"Nothing to worry about now Hermione, what do you remember?" I asked her gently.
"The common room, the fire, then there was this wind and then a red light came at me. Pain,  I was in a lot of pain," she thought for a moment, "that's all I remember."
"Well that's all you need to know, you're ok now." I told her and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. Then the healers came in. 
"Well I must say, you woke up much earlier then I expected you to, let me just check your temperature and your heartrate." The healer took out her instruments and begain working, "you seem good to go. I will discharge in the evening, we need to make sure you can walk again."
"Walk! Of course I can walk! I've been walking since I was a baby! I was walking yesterday! When I was relighting the fire." Hermione thought what happened was yesterday. 
"Um Hermione, it's been a month." I spoke gently.
"A month! Oh god! I've been here for a month! I've missed a month's worth of schoolwork! I have so much to catch up on!"  Despite the situation, I couldn't help but let out a chuckle - typical Hermione. "Draco it is not funny!" I stopped laughing but I couldn't hold in my smile. It was so good to see her back, awake. 
I picked her up and kissed her, it was a long, deep, passionate kiss. Oh god I loved this girl so much! Merlin knows how I  was able to live without her this past month. Blaise and Luna came in. "Where were you?" I asked
"Oh we went to send a letter to the rest of them and tell them that you are awake." Blaise said.
"Well lets say it wasn't much of a letter, it was more of a screeching howler." Luna added in. Me and Hermione both laughed.
"Don't you dare ever scare us like that again, do you understand Hermione." Pansy practically bellowed. 
"Yes Pansy and I'm sorry." Hermione said with a smirk on her face. Gosh that smirk was a perfect Malfoy smirk.  Then I was startled once again when I heard a loud pop! Harry, Ginny and Ron were in the room and ran upto Hermione and hugged her.

Harry's POV:

Draco, Blaise, Pansy and Luna had apparated to St Mungo's. Me, Ginny and Ron were just laying around. I could hear Hermione's voice in my head. "Harry stop lazing around and get your homework done!" I smiled at that. Around 15 minutes later, a large tawny owl stood by the window. I grabbed the enveope off of him, gave him a nice biscuit, which it nibbled on and then he was off. I turned around the envelope and saw it was from Blaise, and it was also a howler. Why in the world would Blaise send a howler? 
"Gin, Ron, Blaise sent us a howler!" I called out.
"A howler, why would he do that?" Ginny questioned.
"No idea, I'm just as clueless as you!" 
"Well open it before it bursts." Ron saidI unclipped the envelope.

GINNY, HARRY AND RON  GET YOUR BUTS DOWN HERE NOW OR YOU'LL MISS THE BEST PART OF THE DAY. AND IF YOU'RE WONDERING WHAT BEST PART I AM TALKING ABOUT, I WON'T TELL YOU UNTIL THE END OF THIS HOWLER. LET ME GIVE YOU A CLUE, THERE WAS ONCE THIS GIRL IN THE DORM AND SHE WAS HIT BY SOMETHING. IT KNOCKED HER OUT AND YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE IT! 
SHALL I TELL YOU....
(at least a minute of silence)
OK FINE I'LL TELL YOU... ACTUALLY MAYBE NOT
("Blaise tell us know or I'll hex you!" Ginny said.)
ALRIGHT , HERMIONE'S AWAKE! HURRY UP AND GET HER NOW!

The howler tore itself and I was socked. Hermione, sh-she's awake!
I grabbed Ginny and Ron's hand, made sure my wand was in my pocket and apparated to ST Mungos. I don't think either of them were ready because as soon as we got, they both stumbled to the ground. "HARRY!" Ginny screamed.She got back on her feet along with Ron and we hurriedly made our way to Hermione's room. We saw her and ran uto her and gave her a big hug. 
"Don't you dare ever scare us like that again!" I screamed. We were told that she will be discharged in the evening. 

The next few days, consisted of happiness as Hermione came back, lots of work, thanks to Hermione and the teachers, and a party for hermione's return. Finally everything went back to normal. Apart from that black hooded guy. What did he want anyway, couldn't he leave me and my friends alone! I tried not to think about it but I couldn't help it. he used sectumsempra on Luna, crucio on Hermione, who was well again after a month, what's next? 

The next few weeks consisted f work, food and sleep. The Newts weren't until the end of summer but the teachers had decided to give us a whole load of work so we can 'practice' , Hermione of course was ecstatic.The rest of us did work whenever Hermione scolded us too. Surprisingly even Draco was doing his work as soon as he got it. In my opinion, I think he has caught the Hermione-do-what-you-get-as-soon-as-you-get-it-and-we-have-to-revise-for-newts bug. There was a time like tonight though, were we had finished all of our work thanks to Hermione and Draco. We sat on our comfy chairs and sofas and talked.About what you ask. We come up with topics from thin air, we don't need to think. But to be honest I was half asleep anyway, I was so tired after all the work we had been doing.
