The last mutation

Hello everyone this is Antonio Alino it's been 11 years since the first case started. Things have gotten way worse. Why am I writing to you all, you ask? The year is 2030 and as you can tell the virus is still around. Me and a couple of comrades found a cure that works on the virus. But…. what we found will only work on the first two mutations. In 11 years we had a couple mutations, so if we use it here it wont work because we are in mutation 12. We believe there is no cure after the 9th mutation. That's why I am sending this message to you all in 2019. I have made a device that can send a message to the past or the future. So listen closely to the story and at the end i will explain how to make this cure.

The first case was confirmed around  November 17 in china. People say china was behind all this to start a war. Others say it was an accident by china. There were a lot of rumours. But how should i know in the year 2019 i was a nobody. Early in january a case was found in the US. It started spreading slowly, but the more people traveled the more cases there were. Nobody thought it was a big deal until the first couple deaths occurred. But still people didn't seem to care, the death could have been a coincidence. 

The virus started getting worse and it was spreading faster. Some places started closing  because of the cases getting worse. We all started social distancing and wearing masks and gloves. Again i was a nobody studying in school i had no interest in all the covid stuff.I did follow the mask and social distancing but didn't think it got this bad as it is now. 

So as i was saying places were closing due to more cases and more spreads. First we were informed that the virus can only spread by touching something or an item that a person that was infected touched. Then a couple months later we were informed that the virus had mutated and could spread through the air. That's the second mutation so keep count. The government decided to lockdown everything and everyone had to stay quarantined. Still people didn't listen and still went out. But lots of people quarantined, due to that the cases started to slow down. People thought this was good. I agreed but people also thought that it was ok to come out of quarantine. Soon everything was opening again, and the government was happy the cases slowed down.

How do I remember everything with details you ask? I dont i am just saying what i remembered and what i heard at that time. I was only 18 years old in sophomore year getting ready for senior year. I was just a normal kid, I had two or three friends but I never went out. Always watching movies and anime. I was just a normal person waiting for all this to pass by. 

By the time senior year started it was remote. It was the most difficult year of my education. But somehow more easy for me. I was that type of student to skip school so remote learning was better for me. I wasn't the smartest kid but I had some skills. I was good in math and some tech, also the ability to learn something fast. I had a dream to become one of the most famous and helpful entrepreneurs in the world. So I knew I had to work hard to get where I wanted to be. So you see as i told you i was a nobody  just a normal person with dreams. All that changes and if you keep reading you see how.

Back to the covid. Things started to slow down. So places started to open and people had the idea that the virus would leave and be over. Airports opened big and small businesses opened, and fast food stores remained open. Couple weeks later the virus began to spread again. It continued, and what did I think  of it? I thought that was stupid, how do you expcted a worldwide virus to be gone in only two or three weeks. I thought we should've self quarantine in our homes for a couple months. But that was me thinking as a teen adult. People needed food yes but the government could have thought of something.

The government was so concerned about the virus slowing down, that they didn't take it so seriously. The government thought that they were finishing with the virus. Yet they didn't know the virus was spreading faster this time. The world reached about 20 million cases of the covid 19 as you call it. Places were still open and serving people. The virus was spreading faster. I'm not sure the date put somewhere around november or december 2020 the covid 19 vaccine was announced .

People were glad to hear that there was a cure for the virus. Well that's what they thought. The vaccine did help some people. But yet we had a smart virus which mutated to mutation 3. This mutation allowed it to spread a little more faster. Also this  mutation was smart that in some cases the vaccine didn't work on then. Somehow it had gotten a little stronger. But the government only saw the cases that the vaccine worked on so they kept making more. Soon the government was given vaccines to the people. But like there are so many people in the world the government was slow giving the vaccines.

The virus continued  to spread and more death occurred. But more people were getting cured then more people were dying. But the point was the virus was still spreading. More people were infected so the government decided only to give the vaccine to the people who were infected.

By january 2021 there were over 95 million cases, the US with more cases than any other country. By this time there was a 4th mutation found but couldn't be identified. The new president in that time gave orders to the government to allow everyone who needs or wants a vaccine to get one. Many people got one but I wasn't convinced  at that time. I did not care. By july the 4th mutation was identified. This virus  mutation couldn't be harmed if it was already in the human body. This mutation could spread through wind.
