Remy and Ackely bridge

part 9

Mandy pov
We are in the court room. Myself and remy are sitting one side of the table and her relatives are sitting on the opposite side.  The judge is talking to the social worker "so remy we would like to hear your thoughts" the judge smiles and she grabs my hand under the table. She freezes "Remy, its ok" I whisper "Remy, we just want to hear your thoughts sweet" her social worker says "mom don't let them take me please" she cries and hugs me "she will stay with mandy carter, no contact from relatives" judge says and dismisses us.

We walk out the court rooms and her family have all stormed off. "Ruby?" Rem questions "remy?" I question "It's Ruby, my auntie she left the family as it was toxic." I wipe my tears "go say hi if you want" I smile. We turn and Ruby had gone. Remy runs but no sign "It was her mandy I promise" she cries "I know, let's go home" I hug her.

Remy pov
We are in the car on way back. I can't help but think of my auntie Ruby. She left the family, left me why she back? Last time I knew she loved way up north. "STOP THE CAR". I scream and get out the car "Remy?" I hear mandy scream "You came back? Why?" I shout "I needed to make sure you stayed with your adopted parents" she sighs "you left me, Ruby you left me with the toxic family. You said you'd take me with you." I cry "Remy! You dont do that" mandy comes running over "why Ruby?" I scream "im sorry, i came back but they warned me if I took you bad things would happen" she cries "Hope your happy" I run off "Remy" mandy screams but I keep running crying.

Mandy pov
Im home and remy just walk through the door. She just hugs me "sorry, I need to let steam off" She pulls away and wipes her tears "I know. Why I didn't chase after you" I smile and cup her face "Are they really out my life?" She asks "yes, the 4 soon to be 5" sian smiles "huh?" I look confused "I'm now single, and no where to live. Your moms said I can still here as long as I need" she smiles "I love you both" she cries.

**Skipping time**

First day back of a brand new school year. No one knows im doing 6th form. I also have a boyfriend cory Wilson. We been going out three months. First two months we hid it with being in school but everyone knows now. I'm standing with mom on the ramp "No!" Missy screams "yes" I run and hug her "omg" nas screams "Alright girls calm down" mom laughs "See you in your office after school" I kiss her on check and leave with nas and missy.

We are at lunch "aw you know 6th form isn't to bad" I laugh "its not is it" nas mocks "alright just because you a year above" we laugh. "So what lesson you got next?" Nas asks "we got a free" I smile "same" I say "ugh I got english" she laughs "you choose it" we laugh.

My self and nas are in canteen doing notes. "Ugh" I say and fall to the table "Get your bloody face of my clean table eh" Mrs paracha taps the back of my head "Sorry ms p" I laugh "Mom" nas laughs "huh, what you doing" she asks "drama, do a detailed description of someone we look up to but I know nothing about my celebrity" I huff "Does it have to be a celebrity?" She asks "well no i guess" I smile "Your mom, you look up to her, I've heard you in nas room speak about Mrs carter." She smiles and walks off "wow! Your mother is a nosy but a clever women" I laugh.

Its home time and moms on gate "Bye girls" I hug them and stand with mom "what?" She gives me the look "Nothing" I smile.

Mandy pov
Remy has come to gate and said bye to naz and missy. She gives me this smile look "what?" I ask "nothing" she looks over to ms paracha and she nods her heads at remy.

We walk to my office to grab my bags "Ooo come on, I want to see oliver" remy laugh "you,me both" i laughs as I lock my office up.

We picked Oliver up from childminder and are now home. Myself and sian are chatting and doing work. "Mom I've emailed you some work can you go over it please" remy shouts from top of stairs "doing it now" I laugh "she couldn't of come down" sian laughs and goes for a shower.

"Today is the first day back and we were given an assignment to write about someone we look up to. 99.9% of the class got thinking and we all naturally went to write about or celebrity we look up to but I was struggling I didn't know a thing about the celebrity I thought i looked up to.

Then someone made me realise that, it's not always a celebrity we look up to and that when it clicked.

Mandy carter, my mother is who I look up to and inspire to be. She wasn't always my mother. She was the proud headache of ackely bridge. She was someone that helped me through the toughest times of my life. When my parents got arrest, Mandy took me straight under her wing. She was pregnant at the time but she still took me under her wing. Her marriage came to an end and yet she still stay strong and looked after me as if I was hers. She had little Oliver who is my younger brother. She adopted me soon after.
Mandy carter who I'm proud to call her my mother. She juggled a brand new school, failed marriage, pregnancy and young girl who had lost her family and definitely didn't make it easy on her. She still stood stronge and made sure not only had her biological son but her adopted daughter have everything they needed. This women is hard as rock and I inspire to be like her one day.

So you see anyone in this world, famous or not can be your inspiration sometimes we just don't see it, until it is pointed out to us."

I emotional gasp and head up stairs. I knock on her door and go in "I love you" she smiles "I love you always too" I hug her.
