You are born into the world with a certain amount of words that you know, they can be basic ones such as "story" or more complex ones.

Each year on your birthday you learn a word, not basic words that are needed for every day like as, and, of, because, but a noun, a verb, or other words that aren't used as regularly in life but that are still necessary.

Words are very precious and special things. To tell or teach one of your words to someone else is very important. You do so with loved ones or close friends. To teach someone a word is to tell them how much they mean to you.

The words you've learned are tattooed on your body, like the inside of your arm or on your back. The only words others can read that are tattooed on you are the words they have already learned, the rest of the words are unreadable but not blurred or smudged just unreadable. You can make the letters out and read the letters you just can't actually read until you are taught what it says and means.

Everyone has a sort of "radar" for people that know the same words as you. You look for people that you can have conversations with where you can fully understand all the words each other says.

Books are very precious as well. To be able to read one is to know all the words. Books that you can read are "unlocked", while books, where you don't know all the words, are "locked".

The goals in this life are to one, learn new words, two, be able to converse properly and fully with other people, and three, read new books.

No one will know exactly all the same words as you, you and your friends who might be the same age as you but will have different works and won't know the same words as you unless you teach each other those words. In addition to that, you may only teach someone one word per year on the day you meet/became friends, lovers, siblings or such.

That is the way of this world.

Words are sacred here. Not to be thrown around uselessly but to be treasured. Use your words wisely. Don't give them away at a toss of a hat. Be thoughtful and considerate of who and where you give your precious words to someone.

That is the way this world works. To reject and go against the ways of this world is to throw away your words. Do this, and you will never speak again. Never understand others again. Never be able to communicate in any such way.

Be warned. Keep your words safe and treasured.
