Asthma

"It's Difficult to Breathe"

"So, What do you want to do when you get out?"

"I want to travel the world, see places I've never been before!"

I lied

"Well- I'm not sure what I'd want to do..."

"You have time to figure it out, Tommy."

"Well I'm going to get adopted before twelve, right? I'm only nine soooo-Yeah! I'll figure it out!"

They say ignorance is bliss

"Well, as long as you're here, I'll help you."

As Long as I'm here, I'll protect you.

"Thanks! You're the best."

"You too, Tommy."

"What do you want to do when you get out?"

The question stirred up a storm in my head. The sound of a moving train passed by. The boy looked up, holding a guitar case over his shoulder. People were passing by, talking and mumbling. The voices were taunting him. The train had come to a stop, and everyone rushed inside, along with the boy. He looked around, seeing it become dark and everyone's speaking came to a halt. The train started up and ran down the tracks, lights flashing through the windows. Red lights. Soon enough, the train appeared outside in a city, the sky dark and smokey and the sun more bright red than blood. It caught his eye, seeing the ruined, polluted sky. It almost looked beautiful in his eyes, but all that was visible on his face was exhaustion. His red, tired eyes looked up at all the other people, pulling his brown scarf closer over his mouth. The brunette forced the scarf over his mouth, now coughing a bit. He pulled the scarf away and stared at the blood that had been exposed on his accessory. The boy wiped the crimson color away from his mouth then looked down, seeing it smeared on his palm. Fear swelled up within, the boy breathing heavily, desperate for air. He fell down, the people around him not paying any mind. The same red liquid escaped his mouth, his hacking continued. The train soon rushed into a tunnel, and the light seized to exist. Everything went black and still.

"I want to ride a train."

Shouting at the walls

"I want to ride a train and find a better place."

There's a reason

"Tommy I want you to come with me, and we can see the world together on that train. Okay?"

I want to leave.

And I'll take him along with me.
