Castle Pt. 5

   Matthew was swarmed with the children as soon as they entered the throne room. Matthieu stayed back.

   "You're very different from what I remember." Charlene hummed bouncing Peter trying to quiet him. He was always upset after waking up.

   Matthieu shrugged. "Don't sleep a lot as a ghost."

   "No I mean... Calmer. More mature."

   Matthieu smiled watching Matthew meet his younger siblings. "I guess you can say that."

   "Do you want to hold him?" Charlene asked. "Maybe you can calm him down."

   "I'm no. I'm no good with kids–" Matthieu didn't gt to finish.

   "Nonsense. Besides. I'll do anything to get him to quiet down." Charlene passed Peter to the spirit.

   Matthieu winced and held the young boy close. The boy silenced immediately and blinked up at Matthieu with wide eyes. "See through..."

   Matthieu paused. "Yeah. I guess I am see through."

   Peter giggled and sniffled. "I'm Pete!"

   "Hello Pete. I'm Matthieu." Matthieu smiled a little relaxing.

   Pete giggled. "Pwetty eyes. Blue!"

   "Thank you." Matthieu hummed floating again.

   Pete looked down and gasped. "Fly!"

   "Yeah. I can fly." Matthieu smiled more.

   Charlene smiled listening to them. She knew this was a good idea.

Matthew on the other hand was overwhelmed. "So you're Rachel."

   Rachel smiled. "Yes. Mum and dad have told us stories about you!"

   "Why did you stay away so long?" Adam asked.

"How long are you gonna be here?" Nick chimed.

   "YOUR HAIR IS PRETTY!" Skylar chirped!

   Matthew smiled. "It's nice to meet all of you."

   James smiled seeing all of his children interact finally.
