Tad

*Tad starts off as 12 in this Fanfiction.*

Tad POV

"These are the people I want you to capture. I will send you and the DarkBane." Father shows me photos of a man with a Redhook and the last photo nearby make me drop the photo.

"Father that's Roxy. Why-" I'm interrupted by a sickening slap to the face, that has me flying across the room.

"I would have Diablos kill her but I still need her blood for the new ghouls." I spats out as he takes a drink of his cup filled with straight bourbon.

I begin to taste the blood in my mouth. As I stand up on wobbly legs. "I didn't say you could get up." He kicks me back to the ground.

I feel the tears forming in my eyes as I know what happens next. He pulls out his blaster. In one quick movement He shoots a Amperstone (Amperling and Grimstone) hitting me in my already bruised chest.

I feel pain ,I only have felt from these mutated ghouls, shoot through my entire body. I'm in so much pain I can't even scream or move.

Why do I stay? I could leave. I don't have to protect Twist or Roxy anymore.

"You may leave now." I open my eyes not realizing I have had closed them.
Father chugs down the rest of his drink before just grabbing the entire bottle.

I attempt to stand on my near dead legs. I'm honestly suprised I haven't died yet. I somehow manage to stand as my vision turns dark.

I feel the train walls knowing them by heart. I trace the wall until I reach my room.

I immediately lock the dead bolt as I fall to the ground shivering. Tad he did it again didn't he. We could join the Shane Gang. Piper says in my ear from behind my hood.

"Th-" I clutch my chest in pain. Tad just rest I'll protect you. "Thanks" I pat her head before I loose all my senses.

Roxy POV

I shoot the targets with shakey hands my slugs almost miss the targets.

"Roxy?" Twist walks up to me holding my arms. "What's wrong?" He stares into my eyes.

"I think Tad is in deep trouble." I move out of his weak grip. I put my blaster in its holster.

"Tad." Eli spits his name out like a curse. "He's my brother!" I yell at him. "He's actually a good person. He's just ca-"

"He tried to kill us more times than-"

"It's because of Doctor Blakk! Tad didn't want any part of ghouls... not until he saw what Blakk did to me." I stare in his eyes with stubbornness.

"He tried to throw us in the deep caverns for fucks sake!" He snaps back.

"Do you know what he has been through! Huh! Doctor Blakk made him watch our mother die." I yell at him and everyone's faces fall.

"You have no idea what that feels like! Watching your mother being tortured nearly to death than burned alive!" I jerk my turn on my heel and storm away from them.

"Where are you going?!" Eli shouts with worry. "On a walk!" I snarl at him as I continue forward.

Eli POV

Her mother was burned to death. Tad had to watch that as a little four year old.

I watch as Roxy's figure becomes smaller as the grass turns blue with her each step.

I look behind me at all the confused shocked faces. "Poor Roxy" Pronto tesrs up. "If only the great Pronto was there to save her mother."

Tad said he was from the surface and I still believe him. Did he end up on the surface after that happened and made his way back.
