Ghostbur tried to recall something new. Something that was different from the endless repetition of going around, and being rejected by everyone. He couldn't remember what he did to make almost everyone on the SMP hate him, but he had to try. He still cared for them.
A few hours earlier
Ghostbur was going to Techno's house, the new one in the tundra. It was horribly cold, but it was okay if he could be with his friend. In his pocket was blue, a few stacks. He planned to give a stack to everyone for a gift of appreciation, starting with Techno first.
Ghostbur was about to knock when he heard loud noises thuds coming from the attic. Curious, he quickly phased through the door, and floated up, using the ladder to balance. Once he got to the attic, he saw Techno sword training. Before he died, he remembered Techno constantly training, and joking around. It was one of the few memories he could conjure up, but he cherished it.
But now was different. Phil had told him to never let Techno use a sword, saying something about blood gods and voices. Ghostbur didn't care. He just knew that he should stop it. Going up to Techno, he tapped the sweaty shoulder of the long-haired swordsman, nearly getting sliced in the process, if he was still alive.
Techno widened his eyes, and looked at the sword, then looking back at Ghostbur. Not knowing what to say to break the silence, Ghostbur quickly gave Techno his blue, and hugged him quickly.
A loud clatter was heard, making Ghostbur flinch, but before he could pull away to see what caused the noise, the oftentimes emotionless, or apathetic man had pulled Ghostbur into a hug. A bit concerning, but it was fine. After all, Techno had blue to help now.
A few minutes later, Ghostbur was starting to feel nervous. Techno was still hugging him, and seemed to be unconscious? Ghostbur started getting worried, since he still had to hand out the rest of the presents by the end of the day. Slowly turning incorporeal, Ghostbur eased out of the strong grasp, quickly catching Techno and easing the man onto the ground, putting a letter explaining what had happened as Ghostbur left the house.
Ghostbur was about to arrive at Tommy's tent when he saw Quackity and someone else. Ghostbur checked his list, noticing that he still had to give Quackity his gift.
Ghostbur took a deep breath, and shouted, "Quackity!"
Spinning around, the netherite helmet almost falling off, Quackity saw Ghostbur. The other figure had disappeared, but Ghostbur didn't really care, as he was taking out a stack of blue. Just as he looked up, smiling, he saw the dark look on Quackity's face.
Before Ghostbur could explain the gift, Quackity said in a scary tone, "Ghostbur, why are you here?" It resonated inside Ghostbur's head, he was stunned. Did Quackity need more blue? No, this wasn't the sound of sadness, it was the sound of anger.
Ghostbur had heard it before. But when?
A/N: So um- this is my first fan fiction lol- the update schedule will be extremely messed up, so yeah. It probably won't have many ships, probably lots of platonic ships and the homies, but no actual ships. Might change later, but not sure yet! Thanks for reading!
