{Day 2}

𝓢pencer woke up nice and early the next morning. He sat up and stretched his body, many bones cracking. He got up from his bed and walked over to the window, pushing the blinds entirely open.

"You're on my side, asshole." Matt said as he began to stir awake. He opened one eye to see Spencer looking out the window. "Close the damn blinds. I'm trying to sleep."

Spencer ignored the other boy's demands to shut the blinds and made his way to the bathroom. He used the toilet before walking over to the sink and counter. Spencer brushed his teeth and quickly did his hair before stepping out back into his bedroom. He looked through the new drawers and got himself semi-dressed. Turning, he saw Matt still sleeping, only now completely covered by the blanket.

"Sleeping all morning isn't very productive."

Matt groaned. Spencer watched as he reached over to look at the time on his phone. "It's eight in the morning. What the hell!? Wake me up for dinner," he said as went back under his covers. Spencer rolled his eyes at the other boy's antics. He wasn't going to force the brunette out of bed. Why would he want to?

As if on cue, the boy's mothers stormed into the bedroom.

"Good morning," Maria sang.

"Mom," Matt whined as his mother pulled the covers off of his head.

"Get ready, boys!" Alice said. "Today starts your journey to friendship."

Spencer sighed. He wasn't interested in being friends with someone like Matt. And Matt felt the exact same way. The hatred was mutual, their mothers' plans couldn't change that.

"The sooner you boys agree to do this, the sooner you'll be able to go out to the beach or into town and do whatever you'd like." Maria said.

Matt groaned as he sat up from his very comfortable position.

"We'll be gone for a few hours. We need to go into town to get groceries. You guys will be here, doing your activity." Alice said.

"Activity?" Matt's voice was muffled, having his face down into the pillow.

Spencer looked up from his book at his mother, his new comfortable position on his bed slowly growing uncomfortable at the idea of having to do anything with Matt.

Maria and Alice nodded. "It's just for today. There's a small activity for you two downstairs. It'll be your one hour of spending time together."

"What if we don't do it and just leave?" Matt asked.

Maria rolled her eyes, "we will know. We raised you, we've known you two your entire lives. Besides it requires writing." With that, the two mothers walked out to let the boys get ready.

Matt got up from his bed and stretched his body. He turned around to see a shirtless Spencer, causing him to roll his eyes. "Do you ever put a shirt on?"

"Why?" Spencer smirked. "Does it bother you?"

"In fact, yes. Yes it does bother me." Matt deadpanned. "You look like a dumb jock."

Spencer frowned, failing at his attempt to bother Matt. The two boys always teased each other. Like when Matt would get flustered when a guy would flirt with him and Spencer would always bring it up. Or when Spencer would get mad during a game or when he didn't do good on a test, Matt would tease him. It was playful banter; one of the perks about not liking each other was knowing every thing that could tick the other boy off.
