Colton on the side

Chapter 1

Colton's POV

BEEP BEEP BEEP

I slammed my hand down on my alarm clock, hopefully breaking it once and for all. You know when you are a little kid and you were so excited to go to school? I don't. I have ALWAYS hated school with a passion. How everybody just wants to fit in. Fuck that. Everybody is just fake anyway. And those who aren't like everybody else, like me, get bullied. Physically and emotionally.

My name is Colton O'Hare. Gay, mute, emo, nerd in the back of the class. Never had a friend in my life. And my parents are gone too. The only two people I have is my older brother, Andrew, who is off to one of his three jobs most of the time to support me and my little sister, Missy. Other than that, I care about nobody and nobody cares about me.

Yes. My parents are gone. Have been for the past two years when I burnt down our house by accident and they got trapped while sleeping. That is one of the reasons why I'm mute. The other you will find out later.

"Colton! Get up! It's time to wake up fow school!" My baby sister (she is actually 4 years old), Missy said slamming open my door and jumping on my bed.

"Alright Miss. I'm up," I whispered to her. Missy and Andrew are the only people I talk to, and even then, it's a whisper. I talk to them because Missy looks up to me and I don't want to disappoint my little girl. I talk to Andrew because if I didn't he would just yell at me again saying it wasn't my fault that mommy and daddy died. Even though I know damn well it was my whole fault. Hell! I could have killed Andrew and Missy!

"Colton.... Are you alwight?" Missy whispered, coming really close to my face to look in my eyes. For how young she is, she can really read me well. "Colton... Maybe you should go back to bed. You look weally, weally, bad. I don't want you to look any woose from the meanie-faces at school."

Yes, Missy knows about the bullying at my school. Andrew doesn't because I don't want to worry him any more than he already is.

" I wish I could Missy. But if I miss anymore days of school I could get in really big trouble. Now how about you let me get in the shower and I will make you some breakfast. Okay?"

"Okay," she said wearily, as if she didn't believe anything that I just said, but she still walked out of my room backwards. Making sure that her big blue eyes never left mine.

Once she finally left my room, I grabbed my white skinny jeans and my Attack Attack! Band tee and walked to the bathroom to shower.

I stepped out of the shower and went to get dressed. I looked through my clothes and figured out that I completely forgot to grab boxers. I cracked open the door and yelled for Missy.

She came immediately. She gave me a dull look and pushed boxers through the crack in the door. I guess since this happens almost everyday, she didn't need to ask me what I needed.

After that little fiasco, I started on my hair. Blow drying and straightening. My hair is naturally straight, but the blow dryer frizzes my hair.

I walked downstairs after putting on my vans and grabbing my Black Veil Brides book bag and Blood On The Dance Floor hoodie. Walking in the kitchen, I saw that Missy was already eating pancakes and eggs. I gave her a wierd look.

"Oh! Since you wew taking so long in the showew, I woke up Andwew and he made me bweakfast!" She said in a voice that made me want to give her the world, her big blue eyes sparkling.
