"Take it to my father!" the elven prince ordered. the guard came over and picked up the motionless black mass and carried it towards the kingdom. Thranduil sat high and mighty on his throne as the guards brought it in. "who is it?" the king asked.

"we don't know father, we didn't no it was even a being," the prince claimed.

"very well, bring it to me," the king ordered, the body was placed before him and he stood up looking down at it, he finally bent down and yanked off the black cloak that had covered the creature, his breath suddenly stopped as he gazed at the elleth before him, she was beaten and wearing nothing but tattered rags, there was a faint breath coming from her, she had obviously been whipped, "she is still breathing! take her to the healing wing!" he ordered. the guards picked her up carefully and ran towards the healing wing. "Legolas, as soon as she wakes i want her brought here, is that understood?"

"yes ada," the prince bowed and walked away. He walked quickly through the halls to the healing wing to see the elleth, he had not yet seen her face. He pushed through the giant doors and walked over to where she was lying, he gazed upon her and as his father did, he lost his breath, even through the bruises, cuts, and blood, she was beautiful. three healers approached the elleth and told the prince to leave, he did as told and went back to his father. the healers used a powerful spell to heal her, slowly all the bruises and cuts faded away, all the gashes turned to scars, the knots in her hair unraveled and all the broken bones sealed. her eyes opened and she took in her surroundings, "w-where am i?" the elleth asked.

"you are in the healing wing of the woodland realm my dear," the eldest healer told her, "the king request that you see him, i will escort you,"
the elleth only nodded in response and stood on wobbly legs. the two walked slowly but surly to the throne room. they pushed through the door and bowed to their king. the healer took her leave and left the two alone.
"what is your name elleth?" he asked her.

"my name is Conali, my lord"

"Conali, may i ask, why were you found in my forest?"

"i was beaten, and used as a servant, this was the only place the men dare not to enter but myself being a woodland elf from long ago, would be maybe accepted."

"you are safe here. you may stay if you wish," the king said softly.

"thank you thank you!" she squealed.

"you may stay if you do two things for me, " she nodded, "well Conali, if you leave the palace without me, you will most likely die so you are to stay in the palace. you are to stay in my chambers so i can keep an eye on you and keep you safe."
Conali's eyes widened, "yes my lord"

"i shall take you to my chambers and get you settled,"
on still wobbly legs, she tried to walk at his pace but failed miserably. before hitting the ground, two strong arms caught her, "im sorry my lord, my legs are still quite wobbly,"

"don't be sorry, here, lean on me"
she nodded and leaned against him.
they walked through the great halls taking in all the art work, finally they arrives at two massive doors and walked in, her breath caught in her throat at the beauty of the room, the elven king walked her over and sat her on the bed. she laid down, enjoying the soft plushness of the sheets. the king laughed, "i will have some of the tailors make some dresses for you,"
Conali only nodded in response.

"i will see you again tonight," the king said and walked out of the room and closed the door behind him. few minutes later, the kings captain of the guard walked in, Tauriel, "my lady, would you like anything? a drink or bath, something to eat maybe?" tauriel asked her.

"some fruit and wine would be splendid, if it's not to much to ask,"

"not at all my lady," tauriel said and scurried out.
