"Niall, how nice to see you, baby!" Maura exclaimed, pulling her son in for a hug and peppering kisses all over him. Bystanders in the airport smiled and giggled at their reunion. He even saw a few girls take out their phones to take pictures.

"Mom!" he complained, trying to fix his quaffed, nearly- brown hair.

"I'm sorry, baby! It's just that I haven't seen you in so long," she said, sadly, "I missed you!"

Pulling out the guilt-card right away? he thought, Nice one, Mom. "I missed you too," he murmured. She smiled brilliantly before pulling him in for one last hug.

"Nice to see you, lil' bro," Greg said, appearing next to their mother.

Niall smiled, hugging his older brother. They had had their differences over the years, but had recently become quite close.

"I'm happy that you could take a break from being a super star to come back to good ol' Mullingar for the wedding," Greg said as they pulled away.

"Yeah, well, me and the boys are taking a break right now, so I get to be there when you sell your soul," Niall said, grinning.

His mother slapped his arm playfully before asking, "They will be here for the wedding, though, right?"

"Yeah, they'll all be flying in like a week or so before the wedding," Niall replied.

Niall noticed a girl about his age with long blonde and brown hair and green eyes walking down the airport hallway. She had an easy smile on her face and the twinkle in her eyes made her look as though she found everything amusing. She reached up, tucking her hair behind her .ear, and he noticed the tattoo on her wrist and multiple piercings in her ear, as well as the small stud in her nose. He didn't usually go for that kind of girl, but he was oddly attracted to her.

"Speaking of the wedding," his mother said, "here comes the blushing bride now."

Niall watched in horror and surprise as the girl he had been watching a moment earlier walked into his brother's arms and pecked him on the lips. Niall struggled to keep his face even as his mother and the couple turned back to him.

"Niall," Greg began, now holding the girl by her waist, "meet Leslie, my fiancée."

"It's nice to meet you, Niall," she said smiling at him. Her American accent just made his attraction to her even worse.

"Nice to meet you too, Leslie," he choked out, faking a smile.

Oh shit, he thought, I think I just fell in love with my brother's fiancée.

"How nice to see you boys today," Simon said to Louis and Harry as they sat in his office.

"Nice to see you too, Uncle Simon," they both said, smiling.

"And I'm so happy that it's just the two of you," Simon continued, "That will make this much easier."

"Make what much easier?" Louis asked suspiciously. He and Harry both wore similar frowns.

"Oh, no, it's nothing bad, boys. It's actually very good news," Simon continued, smiling genuinely.

The two boys' frowns melted and were replaced by grins. "Get on with it then," Harry said.

"Well, The X Factor UK is looking for a new judge, and I figured who better to judge contestants than someone who was a contestant?"

Harry and Louis's eyes widened. "We're gonna be judges on The X Factor?" Harry asked, absolutely shocked.

"Well, that's where what I said earlier comes into effect," Simon said, now frowning slightly. "You see, there's only one open spot on the judging panel."
