Chapter 6

"What are you doing?" I said facing the wall

"We need to talk" someone whispered next to my ear, then I realized it was Ross's voice.

"ROSS, what the hell!" I yelled "Let me go you perv!"

"We need to talk" he repeated smoothly

"What do you mean... wait, we have nothing to talk about, plus I just meet you this afternoon, didn't I?"

 "Yeah, I think that is what we need to talk about, and also what you said back there too" he said turning me around to face him

Big Girl

In the movement my hair twirled in my face leaving a strand of hair stuck to my wet skin, but before I could remove it a find slide on my cheek removing the lonely strade.

“God, you are beautiful” my faced burned, I moved my eye behind him feeling self conscious.

“Thanks” there silence, only hearing the music from outside the restroom, but it felt like it was miles away.  I looked back up at him to see he was already staring at me. I hadn’t realized it but we were so close that we were breathing the air, then after a while I couldn’t take the stare down so I looked away. Well I tried because the second I tried to look somewhere a large hand cover my face force me back to look at him.

“I always thought Vanessa was pretty, but you’re beautiful.  I can see what my brother see’s in you, he can’t stop talking about you, it drove me nuts.  Its all he could take about, that I kind of hated you before even meeting you.  But now I can see what he see’s and I want it too, but that makes the biggest asshole in the world.” His eyes scanned my face, then landed on my lips. “Fuck, I really want to kiss right now.”

I didn’t even get to respond when the restroom door flew open, “What the hell are you doing?” I pushed Ross of me making him trip back and onto the floor with a big thud. He wined and reluctantly go up, and dusted himself off and glared at Vanessa.  “Well nothing now, thanks”

“Ryland is looking for you” Shit, Ryland. I had totally forgotten about him, well fuck.

“Okay, thanks, you can leave now. We were in the middle of a conversation, if you didn’t notice”

She glared at him and walked up to him “You never listen, do you?” he shrugged “I introduced her to Ryland not you” Okay now I was officially lost “So…?”

“So? What the fuck Ross, stay away, do you understand?” To say I was was confused was an understatement, I could see the seriousness in Vanessa’s face which not normally there. The only times I’ve seen that face was when we talked about Jake and our virginity, which to her where very serious, they are but she just takes it up a notch.  I know she just wants to protect me, but sometimes it just gets annoying.  Like this one time, we were at the mall and a guy came up to me and started to flirt with me, but I knew it was just a dare he was having with his friends in the corner of the food court.  I started to play along, I had it all planned out, look cute. flirt, then kick him where the sun don’t shine but then Vanessa happened.  She told the guy off and embarrassed the poor kid to no end. ‘I just prevented you from  looking like a fool’ which was nice of her, but seriously am not stupid or blind to see what the guy was doing. And what she was saying to Ross has to do with her sisterly defense.

“What are you talking about, Vanessa?” I bet she wasn’t expecting that question, matter of fact she completely forgot I was here.  She turned around to face, she opened and closed her mouth, like a fish out of water.

“Your sister, well she thinks… uhm, how do I put this. She hates me, so she doesn’t want me to be around you” he said

“Vanessa, is that true?” I asked, because I knew she would do something like that.  But I could date whoever I wanted, couldn’t I? Yeah, I can and if I wanted to kiss Ross when he told I would sure have done it, or if Ryland asked me to go out with him I wouldn’t deny him. I could do whatever the fuck I want, except be a slut, being with two gorgeous men would be a sin, but not in my books. I shook my head mentally because I was losing it. “I said, is it true?”

“Laura, he’s a player, he will break your heart in a heart beat.”

“Whoa, Okay,  who is talking about heart breaking, we were just dancing”

“You were dancing with him?” she pointed an accusing finger towards him

“Yeah, and?” I said putting my hands on my hips “Do you have a problem with that?”

“Do I have a problem with that? Fuck, I’m just trying to protect you, Laura!”

“Well, I am a big girl now, I think I can take care of myself, don’t you think?!” Silence. We glared at each other for a pretty long time, I had totally forgotten Ross was there too.

“Uh, sorry to intrude but there are people waiting to use the restroom” Now with was our turn to glare at him.  He put his hands in the air, like if he caught and surrendered. “Just saying”

“Fine, but we will talk about this at home” she said as she exited the restroom.  I was about to follow her out, but something pulled me make into a really hard chest.  

“I believe we have things to talk about” he whispered in my ear.  I turned my head slightly to the side to see his face, but when I did he kissed my cheek and let’s go walking out of the restroom. I inhaled and exhaled, straightened my dress and walked out of the restroom.

Sorry for talking so long to update

I have been reading a lot to make my writing better, and with school it makes it really hard to update frequently, but hopefully but Spring break I could dedicate myself  to writing more... So thanks for reading.  And I get 5 comments I will try to Update again really soon. :)
