I shuffled through the papers flooding my desk.

I flipped through the pinned pages and found my last name in the book. Dorm rooms are organized in the book. The rough material rubbed against my hand as I scanned the page, frowning.
My partner is...Charli Eclipse," I whispered to myself. Damn, I hope she doesn't mind me going out a lot to fulfill my stepfather's orders. Besides, It's quite rare for me to stay in the dorms.

The keys dangled from my baggy pants as I jumped up the diamond stairs. I headed to my dorm room. I glanced at my reflection as I passed each glass door. Even though I looked terrible, I didn't care. "457...458, 459...and 460," I murmured, passing by the bedrooms. I paused in front of 460 and inserted the key into the lock. Suddenly, the door flipped open and a silver-haired girl with a bright smile and blue eyes appeared.

"Hey, my name is Charli! I'm your new roommate," She said, introducing herself.

Her eyes reminded me of someone.  She gave me a nostalgic feeling.

"K," I said, slamming my backpack on the ground. Charli flinched at the noise. I glared back at her and she had a shocked expression. I don't know what she expected.

"You're Faith, right?"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"You have very pretty eyes."

Our eyes connected and that feeling returned to haunt my brain "Thanks."

Laughing, she skidded among the kitchen tiles. Sunlight poured through the windows and shadows followed her every move. She moved as if she were animated. I leaped on the bottom bunk and the covers flew. I collapsed.

Sebastian POV

The sound of birds filled the room and the smell of pumpkin replenished the air. My roommate, Luke was fine. He enjoys baking but seems like a complete idiot.

"I created magical pumpkin bread! Come get some," He called.

In a way, he reminded me of my childhood friend. Despite looking tough, Luke is a coward on the inside, like me. A lonely and useless coward, always relying on others. I find it funny that I could figure it out without interacting with him that much. I'm a professional at reading people. I've always been quiet, left, lonely. The fact that you can analyze people almost like it's your full-time job makes it easy.
I rarely attend school. I have no idea how Faith managed to get us into school for another year. We never come because we're always out being the evil in the world. The one thing I hate the most.

Faith POV
I sat on the cushioned seat in the Christmas café. The fire buzzed and the radio played a cheerful tune. Seb pushed the door and entered the café as the bells rang, alerting the waitress. I made eye contact and waved. He shuffled over to my booth.
"Hey, I was supposing we go to the party tonight, " I told him. To add some context, I was planning on stealing from a large company in Christmas Town. It's easy to not leave marks behind and the police in my city don't monitor it enough anyway. Sebastian nodded and brought out his phone.
"I saw André recently, " I told him.
He looked up from his screen.
"André is a good guy, " I explained, cheerfully.
"Yeah, " Seb replied, staring at his phone once again. I stretched my arms out on the table. "And he's kind of cute."
Seb's face went red. He covered his embarrassment in his arms. "Yeah, " He mumbled.
Sebastian and André were best friends until Seb moved. Coincidentally, I befriended Andre and his friends when I was 15. Andre's boyfriend is intimidating and Seb didn't want to get involved. I noticed a girl behind me, starring. I tried not to turn towards her. I shifted my glass cup to get a glimpse of her reflection. That damn idiotic girl. The same one I share a dorm with. It feels like she's always following me everywhere I go.
"You ok?" Seb asked me.
I jumped. "I'm...fine, " I replied, irritated.
"Hey! I'm Alyssa. What can I get for you today?" A blonde-haired waitress asked with a creepy smile
Seb jumped and hid his face with his arms.
"He'll just get a strawberry milkshake, " I responded.
She tilted her head at Sebastian.
"Uh... AND a cookie, " I added.
She nodded quickly and scribbled my order down.
"Do you need a refill?" She asked, looking at the empty glass I had in my hand.
I stared at the glass and nodded my head. She gave me an awkward smile and turned towards the kitchen.
Seb's hands gripped the edge of the table.
"It's alright. Nobody is looking, " I told him.
He lifted his head with an embarrassed look.
"You're fine. She didn't care anyway."
He whimpered and shook his head.
The tingle in my arms alerted me someone was close behind me. I glanced into my glass and noticed the reflection of a creepy white-haired girl standing behind me.
"You sure are studying that glass and lot," she said.
I turned around, trying to hold back my laughter.
"Can we talk outside?" She asked, annoyed.
I glanced at Seb. I could tell he was nervous.
"Later, " I told her.
"Later means never in your language. You're never at the dorm. Why did you bother getting one in the first place?"
In spite of the fact that I was never at the dorm, I usually sleep in Sebastian's closet. His father tends to drink and hang around some girls. His family was extremely wealthy, so his father can afford the house without a job. He provides proof through some retirement accounts.
Alyssa brought me back a chocolate chip cookie and a milkshake. "I'll have your refill right out," She replied.
"Cancel it," I said.

"Uh, alright."

I handed Seb his milkshake. He gazed up at me.
"I got to go with granny over here, " I said, referring to Charli.
"I am NOT..."
"I'll be back in 5-10 minutes, " I told Seb.

The girl snatched my arm and stomped out of the cafe. We marched around the porch to the side of the building and she tossed me against the wall.
"I'm extremely suspicious of you. I don't understand why you're never in class or in the dorm," She said.
I flashed her a fake smile.
"An innocent a cute girl like you wouldn't understand, " I teased.
Her face firmed.
"Please tell me. I won't stop following you, "

"Then I'll call the police."

"You can't. I'm able to get out of it."
I thought she knew my real motive for not calling the cops. I don't want to speak to them at all.
"It's difficult to explain, " I told her, honestly.
"My own father forced me to do some bad things and I can sense that you aren't completely innocent. You may see me as a pathetic little girl but I know a lot more than you think, " She replied.
I sighed. This is the first time I've had to tell a stranger something this big.
"My friend and I are planning to get some things...The illegal way, " I told her. I wasn't lying.
She grinned. "How come?"
"Why should I tell you?"
Charli's eyes expanded. She placed down, unresponsive.
I glared at her, becoming more and more impatient
"Maybe I could...help you, " She mumbled.

"YOU! Help ME?" I said, bursting out in laughter.
"You can't even unlock the door to the dorm room without the keys slipping."

Her face swiveled red.
"I'd be good use to you. I have powers," She replied, giving me a rough look. Her eyes flickered from her icy blue to a deep red.
I backed up from her in surprise. She's exactly what I needed.

We were walking for a good five minutes and Charli kept on asking thousands of questions.
"Why are we in this gross neighborhood?" Charli asked.
"This is where lots of criminals stay," I said.
"Wouldn't people know that?" She asked.
"Not really. They view us as "ghetto" and shit but nobody does anything about it."
We stopped a store nearby. Charli glanced at it in confusion.

"A phone shop?"

"My old friend owns the place," I told her.

Seb walked in. Charli and I came next.
"Leo!" I yelled, banging on the rusty counter
"Coming, " Said a distant voice.
A tall, blonde-haired man stood behind the counter.

"What's up?" He asked.

"This is Charli, a new partner, " I replied.

"Interesting, " He said. "Does she have a power?"

"Oh yeah. Max is gonna love her," I said, laughing.

Leo tossed me a bag with a few weapons in it.

"Is that a knife?" Charli asked.

"Yeah, for Sebastian, " I told her.

"Do I get one?"

"If you're willing to help me, " I responded.

She beamed and nodded with enthusiasm. I tossed her a knife and just leaped, barely catching it.

"Careful. Don't want to kill your partner before you can use her, " Leo teased, smirking.

"Shut the hell up, " I muttered under my breath.

"No."
"Don't you have better things to do? Go make out with your boyfriend, Max and leave me be, " I said.
"We aren't dating! He's with André now, " Leo replied. His smirk immediately faded.
I noticed Seb glared at Leo when he said that. Seb still can't get over his childhood crush, André. I shook my head and continued to pack materials for the trip. No sympathy, Faith. Seb strolled into Leo's backroom to change his outfit.
"Here, " I told Charli, tossing her a blue and white dress.
"What's this?" She asked, unfolding it.
"Faith's only making you wear a dress because she wants to stare at you, " Leo joked.
"SHUT UP!" I screamed.
I kneeled down and grabbed Charli's arm.
"Today we're going to one of my gang's biggest enemies place. If you mess this up, I will not hesitate to give you to Max. And boy, you don't want to mess with him, understand?"
Charli's eyes widened. She nodded, softly.
"Good girl."
Leo smirked and leaned against the counter. "Sooo you're visiting our good pal Sam?"
I stood up and faced him. "Yeah. Is there a problem?"
"Nah, we just all know you're going to flirt with Jade."
Faith rolled her head back in annoyance.
"Jade's an enemy! I don't like a random girl."
Leo grinned, tapping his fingernails against the counter.
"We're leaving, cmon Seb."
Sebastian waved goodbye to Leo and hurried out the door, opening it for Charli. Charli nodded in thanks and swooped through the doorway.
