"It doesn't look too awful. I don't think you'll need another bandage. This should do just fine," Fischer stated as he applied a medical patch to Ko's glass wound, now the second gruesome injury on her left leg. Looking down at it Ko winced a little. It hadn't hurt when she ripped the glass out nor when Fischer had first told her about it, but now the pain was starting to manifest in her leg.

"Looks like it's starting to hurt a little more now. I'm guessing all your adrenaline wore off," he guessed, placing the medical box back into the cupboard.

"What's adrenaline?" She asked, confused by the new words he seemed to be whipping out of thin air.

"Uh well it's. . . it's uh. . . actually I don't really know if I'm being honest. I think it's some sort of chemical that basically makes you stronger and gives you a much higher pain tolerance. That's why you didn't feel that thing carving a sculpture in your leg," he said, trying his best to explain the chemical. He had no idea if Ko's body functioned the same as a humans but from what he'd seen so far he had no reason to think otherwise.

"Like meth?" she asked, her voice filled with childlike innocence.

Fischer let out a snicker at her question, barely being able to keep his laughter in.

"You know, I'm starting to think Breaking Bad wasn't such a great idea after all," he jested, walking over to the table where she was seated.

Ko gave him a blank stare, not entirely too sure what was going on. But all that mattered was that he seemed a lot happier than he did fifteen minutes ago. Maybe she was a little too hard on herself about blaming all his anguish on herself.

"No Ko, not like meth. Listen, like I've already told you like a hundred times, that stuff is really bad. Just don't ever mess with-" his sentence was cut short by what he thought to be the sound of a vehicle pulling up to the driveway outside.

Ko seemed to notice it too. Her horns propped up and her eyes snapped towards the door like a dog when it's owner would come home. The sound of car doors closing and footsteps crunching on the gravel was barely audible, but it was there.

"I guess Mira's back. Well at least we're both in a better mood to talk now," Fischer stated blandly, making his way over to the door. But just as he placed his hand on the doorknob, something caught his attention.

There were multiple footsteps, too many for just one person. His brow raised, his mouth opening slightly with fear.

"Ko, quickly, hide!" he ordered, pointing her towards the closest hallway.

The people outside seemed to hear his order being barked and right as he finished, the door was kicked in, violently swinging open and smashing into Fischer, knocking him off his feet. Ko froze halfway to the hallway, standing right in front of two armed police officers, both pointing their weapons at her.

"On the ground! Whoever it is you're-" the officer froze when he saw Ko, his jaw dropping open at the sight of the otherworldly creature. His ally also stood there, dumbstruck by the appearance of an alien right in front of his face.

"What the hell is that?!" The first officer shrieked, ripe with panic, his sights still set firmly on Ko.

The second officer however made the mistake of switching his aim from Ko to Fischer, who lay on the floor.

"Where the fuck did you find that-" his words were cut short as Ko noticed his aim pointed at her friend. She'd just saved him from a bullet from his own hand, he was not going to die by someone else's. Using her natural agility, she jumped forwards towards the officers, baring her teeth and snarling like a rabid dog.
