CHAPTER 1

They were standing at the beach, face to face, staring at each other's eyes. It was evening and the sun was setting. Maybe they were there to take a beach walk. It was all so romantic.

But...what they were talking about was completely different

"Let's Break-up" He said

You, who were enjoying the breezes and ocean waves, were taken aback by his sudden words

"What?!" You asked him...shocked

"You heard it. We can't be together anymore." He said with a calm voice

It was as if the drowning sun in the sky was also drowning your dreams. You couldn't get yourself to the fact that the relationship which has been going on for almost two years now would end just like that..

Although you were living in this city since you were small and you knew that the relationships here didn't last long. People would not hesitate to fool around even if they'd just broke up. But you never imagined that Kio, who was your first love, would ever leave you.

"But you know how much I love you!" You tried explaining to him
"And you also said that you loved me and I was the only one for you" Tears started forming in your eyes as you recalled those words that he used to say.

He was backing out.

"At that time I thought that I'll always love you. But I was wrong. I can't love you anymore."

You could clearly understand that he wanted to break-up with you..But whyy??? What did you do wrong??

"Can I ask you whom ur gonna date next? Cuz you are breaking up with me without any reason and it surely can't be that you're planning to become a monk. Is it?" You were getting pissed now.

He was dodging that question. But he still mustered up the courage to answer you.

"Jennie. I just proposed to her yesterday and she accepted my proposal."

You could now clearly understand the whole thing. You weren't invited to yesterday's party and for the last two days Kio always seemed busy.

And about You and Jennie.
You both were the most beautiful girls in the campus. You both always had some sort of competition going on and you wouldn't hesitate to make each other look like a loser.

You wiped your tears after hearing her name. You were hurt.

"Okay. Congratulations for your new girlfriend. And please say thanks to her from my behalf."

"Why?" He seemed confused

"Because she took an idiotic bastard away from me. I'm grateful."

You had something else in your heart. You clearly liked Kio, but you didn't try to convince him.

"Goodbye." That's all you could say at that moment.

There was an awkward silence in room no. 13 of the ladies hostel. If someone peeked inside it would look as if the bomb that was supposed to be dropped at Hiroshima was accidentally dropped here. There were so many broken things in that particular room.

"Why did you use these things to relieve your anger? Should've got a punching bag instead" adviced Min.

Min and Gabby, who were your roommates and also your best friend's were constantly trying to console you.

"C'mon y/n. For how long will you stay inside that bed. It's been two days and you've not eaten anything." Min said bothered.

"And not bathed as well" Gabby added.

"Seriously Gaby?!" Min snapped

"Oops. Sorry"

They could hear your sobs from inside your blanket.

"Just stop crying now. It's just a breakup. You're acting like you had a divorce." Gabby said

"My life is a mess"
You said coming out of the blanket, still sobbing.

Both the girls suddenly tensed after seeing your face. Your eyes were bulging out, face dried up, body was looking so weak and hair all messed up.

"I've loved him with all my heart and he...he just threw me out of his heart in one snap. Maybe I wasn't even there"

Min and Gabby were very worried. Jennie, who was his current girlfriend, had made a bet with you one year ago that she would snatch Kio away from you. Because Kio was the most handsome guy in the whole campus..and whichever girl got to be his girlfriend, had a different kind of 'swag'.

You thought that Kio only loved you, and will continue Loving you only, but your assumptions turned out to be wrong and because of that your present life was so messed up right now.

"Heyy Stob it!! A pretty girl like you shouldn't cry like this. Have you seen your face? It seems like I'm talking to a well literated ghost" Gabby blurted out by mistake.

You couldn't help but cry more at her words.

"I'm sorry babe...but you should atleast take a bath. Go and get yourself cleaned up and atleast tell us everything that happened"

She was right. You can't stay like this forever. You took a shower and went outside where Min and Gabby were already waiting for you.

You sat next to them and without them asking, told the whole story. Tears started forming in your eyes as you recalled those painful memories.

"That fucking bastard!! He looks like a gentleman but is totally the opposite." You said.

"Y/n!! Don't cry. Nowadays when people go through this shit, then crying is not an option. They celebrate. And we'll do the same!! We'll celebrate your Break-up day!!" Min said cheerfully.

"That Jennie would be out there celebrating and you're crying here? She would've wanted this but we'll prove her wrong. Y/n this is reverse psychology. " Gabby said.
