In the woods
overflowing with life
flowers bloom with zeal
a family parts
eight pairs of hooves
soft footsteps
twig snaps
bang
"Mama!"
knees buckle
body meets earth
crimson flows like water
Eyes wide, he starts to run
As she takes her final breath

Aymless
Lost
Eyes dart
Wandering
Looking for him
The stories from mom
She'd never lie to me
Our eyes meet and the world stops
Brown hair and eyes to match
Magic in her voice
Care in her eyes
Finally
I feel
Seen
