3. The Way

For the past few weeks James has been in squash matches. Defeating the male performance center trainees in a few minutes. Also in these past few weeks. James and Rheas relationship is very known backstage but not to the WWE Universe.

But now it's time for his first big challenge. Hell maybe even a Championship opportunity

James is walking around backstage before he is met by Paul (Triple H)

Paul: Alright James. Time for your first rivalry. Johnny Gargano and for the North American Championship.

James: Do you think I'm ready for that?

Paul: Yes I do think you are. Takeover is coming up in 4 weeks. Johnny just turned back to our biggest baby face and soon he is gonna challenge for the NXT Championship. So you James. Need to have a hell of a match at Takeover with Johnny to put him back in the main event picture.

James: Yes sir.

*later in the show*

James walks out to the ring as the crowd boos him and he climbs up onto the apron and steps over the ropes.

James grabs a mic

James: Now where oh where is the hero of NXT now that a new villain has entered. Where is the man that carries around the flag of NXT. Where the fuck is Johnny Gargano. Because since day one of me walking into that damn door. I asked for a title match. The prince is not present. So where is Johnny. Cause if I have to leave this damn ring to find you. It ain't gonna be nice when I do.

James waits in the ring and doesn't hear anything.

James: I'm gonna go back there and go through every last bastard who gets in my way until I find you.

James starts to leave the ring

James looks up as Johnny Gargano walks out with the crowd cheering him and him holding the NXT North American Championship on his shoulder.

Johnny: Whoa there James. You don't need to go backstage. I'm right here and yes you are correct. Finn Balor is not here and will probably be out for a while with a broken jaw. But I'm here. I've never backed down from a challenge. So how about Takeover Pittsburgh you and me go one on one for the NXT North American Championship.

James: I think you need to start counting the days because at Takeover I am gonna leave you broken in ths middle of this ring. I am gonna leave you crying and Candice is gonna have to come out here and help her small husband up. As I raise up the NXT North American Championship. Because just like everyone else in NXT you will find out that it's just ANOTHER WAY TO DIE!!!!

Johnny: Jabs at my wife. Nothing new iv-

James: Let me tell you something you haven't heard. You are nothing but a second thought who would never have made it where I came from. You are nothing but a sniveling little bitch compared to The Genetic Monster. You are not shit compared to me. At Takeover I'm gonna expose you for what you really are. A small, weak, pathetic son of a bitch!

Johnny looks like he's heard enough and drops the mic and drops the North American Championship and starts to run down to the ring.

Johnny slides into the ring and tries to take out James's legs but he picks up Johnny who throws punch after punch.

Johnny continues to throw punch after punch before James pushes him off making him roll.

Johnny hits James with a superkick who stumbles back and hits a discus lariat.

James picks up Johnny and does a too sweet as he hits a Piledriver.

James laughs and looks at the camera as he picks Johnny back up and puts him up into a crucifix position and runs doing a razor's edge and throwing Johnny out of the ring onto the floor outside the ring.

James poses in the ring as officials and Candice Lerae run down to the ring and help Johnny up and backstage.

James laughs the whole time.

James slides out of the ring and walks past Johnny being picked up.

James walks up but Candice slaps him.

James looks at Candice and nods.

James: You have fucked up now.

James walks backstage and walks to catering.

James sits down as Rhea walks over and kisses him.

James smiles as Rhea sits down.

James: So how'd I do?

Rhea: Well the crowd fucking hates you. So I think you did pretty good.

James: Well thank you. You want to do anything tomorrow?

Rhea: Hmmmm I'll think about it.

James smiles and holds Rheas hand.

Rhea: Why did you say you have fucked up now?

James: Because Candice has a match against you next week.

Rhea: Oh shit I forgot about that.

James: Well I didn't. Mostly because I'm helping you win it.

Rhea: Well aren't you a good boyfriend.

James smiles and kisses Rheas hand.

James: That's what I do.
