"what the hell are you doing with these?" he asked.
"nothing i just found them."
"you just happened to find pictures of jugyeong's bare face? don't tell me your going to release them. " he asked once again.
"yeah, i just happened to find them." she said trying her best to avoid his gaze.
"i know you're lying so tell me the truth,"
"fine, someone sent them to me. now leave me alone." she said before walking away."just please tell me you won't post them," he said before she managed to walk away.
"i won't. i would never do that to her. even through all our years of friendship i can't believe you think i'm so low of a person to post them." she said one last time. chaerin still needed time to try and deal with her feelings, but deep down inside she knew who she loved. all she had to do was realize it.as she walked away, she noticed soojin coming her way. she looked pissed and chaerin decided to hide behind a wall.
she watched as soojin made her way up to suho who was sweeping the floor desperately looking for the necklace.
"looking for this?" she asked as she showed him the necklace.
"soojin," he replied looking up to her.chaerin watched as soojin threw the necklace into the fire and her eyes widened.
"what did you just do? you know whose this is." he said as he walked towards the trash can.
"yes, i do,"
"so what's the meaning of this?" he asked.
"it's because i like you," confessed
soojin. hearing this chaerin was confused all of a sudden. she never thought soojin would go this far just for a guy."i see you're not surprised. we're you aware?"
"are you kidding me right now? aren't you and jugyeong friends?" he asked in disbelief.
"we will be if you don't like her."
"what?" he asked as he was confused all of a sudden.
"she's sweet and kind hearted, that's why i liked her too but not as much as i like you. if i can't have you, then i'll toss her to the side. so break up with her if you don't want to see her loose a friend and get hurt."hearing this made chaerin confused once again. she didn't know suho and jugyeong were dating but then again she hadn't talked with them that much recently.
"you don't seem like the kang soojin i know." said suho before he started waking away from her.
"why her of all people! you only just met her. so why is it her when i've been by your side for 10 years? can't you break up with her and like me instead? you can do that. if i had confessed to you first, you would've chosen me anyway!" she yelled as she held onto suho's arm."no. i wouldn't have. you and chaerin have both been in my life for a long time. if i'm being honest i loved her too but recently i realized she's not the one for me. i can't stay in love with a girl whose clearly in love with another man even if she doesn't know it. you on the other hand, i never liked. i always thought of you as a sister but now, i don't even know who you are anymore." he replied one last time before walking away once again.
from behind the wall, chaerin saw soojin try to kiss suho but he pushed her away. chaerin almost let out a loud laugh but didn't want to get caught.
the only thing she could do was leave. she recalled the last couple of things suho had said to soojin. she felt a bit of relief knowing that suho no longer liked her and managed to find happiness with jugyeong.
part of her still believed that soojin was a good person, just a bit confused like her.
although she realized she had been quite an awful person recently, she knew she was going to have to make it up to her friends.
chaerin recalled the conversation she had with suho at his house and laughed at herself. why would she let a couple of words affect her that much.
as she made her way home she felt happy as she knew things would only get better from here, or so she thought.
