Instead of the sun's morning rays was Monokuma's morning announcement. I slapped myself awake, groaning as a knock was at my door.
Outside waiting was Ishimaru. Looks like he took it upon himself to wake everyone up personally. He greeted me with a firm salute, different from the time he pointed at me for being late.
"Good morning, Yumasaki! Today is another day! We will once again be meeting in the cafeteria for breakfast, meet again to review our findings, and go about our day. When you're ready please come to the cafeteria."
"Alright, thanks Taka. Uh.. Have a good day?"
"You t- Taka? Is.. That a nickname?"
"Yeah. It's fitting, short, and sweet. Anyways, I've gotta get ready. Seeya, Taka"
"A-Ah yes! See.. You later Yumasaki!"
I closed the door, flopping onto my bed.
"Just give me 10 more minutes..."

"'A black cat crossed my path' MY ASS! We thought you were dead, moron!" Enoshima huffed, sitting back down.
"Geez, I'm not dead yet." I took my seat, nodding to Oowada and Naegi.
"Yet?! You are not going to die! Not on my watch!" Ishimaru chimed.
"So, what'd I miss?"
"Not much. Everyone's just chilling" Oowada spoke, leaning his chair back. Naegi hummed in agreement.
"Damn. Then I got dressed for nothing.. Eh, I'll go look around again"
"Hey, Yumasaki!" I turned back to see Naegi.
"Hm?"
"Do you mind if I.. Go with you?"
"... Sure. Onwards, squire"

Despite Naegi's plain nature, he's pretty fun to talk to. We went on about our families and friends, both of us listening intently to our own stories.
"Woah, you have a sister? What's she like?"
"Oh! Her name is Komaru! She's always been a cheerful girl, and pretty supportive of me! I hope her and my parents are okay. I wonder if they're looking for me..."
