AS THE GIRLS WAKE UP
Imani starts to get ready to run errands. she needed to head to target, and a few other stores to stock up on food. the curly haired girl does her morning routine and changes. she wears khaki pants and a nike shirt, with a turtle neck under.
"girls, i'm ready to go! do you guys need anything?" imani yells from downstairs, hoping the girls would hear from their bedrooms. "i'm good!" liya yells. "pads please!" tati and maddy respond. imani starts her car, driving to her local target.
when she finishes getting all her groceries, she stands in line for cashier #7. she places her things on the black conveyor belt. as she looks up to pay, she sees the guy from the party. "you look so fami-," "it's vinnie" he cuts her off. "ohh, sorry i'm not good with names." "no worries, uhm so how are you?" "i'm fine. i didn't know you worked here." "well i just applied a few days ago, i needed a way to make some money." "i understand." she says as she starts paying and grabbing her bags. "well i'll see you around vin." "see ya imani." vinnie rethinks what she said. 'vin.'
as imani walks back into the shared house, she sees the three girls and kio, troy, aaron, jordan h, and jordan p. "what are you guys doing here?" imani asks as she puts down the bags on the counter. "so i hear you're meeting with vinnie?" kio questions. "seeing as in hooking up?" i ask. "duh, what else would it mean?" jordan h adds. imani mentally face palms herself. "i could just be seeing him around? i don't just randomly hook up with motherfuckers." "ok, ok. anyways, you guys wanna skate?" jordan p asks the boys. "i'm down." troy adds. "bye."
"finally they're gone. guess who i saw today," imani asks the three girls. "vinnie?" maddys guesses. "mhm. i swear he's everywhere." imani says. "maybe you guys are soulmates." liya says. "i agree with liya. maybe y'all are bound 2 be." "maybe."
imani was left with that one thought. "maybe y'all are bound 2 be." i mean, what if? she sees him everywhere, but she knows for sure she is way out of his league. who knows?
