Chapter 2

It's been like two weeks since I helped Carol, and me and her have become great friends ever since. But I'm starting to have a feeling that she likes me more than a friend and to be honest, I was too. Maybe, I'll ask her out on a date. But to be honest, I was really shy. But I have to try.

It was now morning, so I woke up, had some breakfast, and got ready for school today.

Once I got there, I headed inside and walked around and then I saw Carol talking with some of her friends.

When she saw me, she immediately waved and I waved back while blushing.

After the bell rang, I immediately headed to my first class and was enjoying my school day so far.

Timeskip-
It was now time for lunch, so I headed to the cafeteria and grabbed my lunch from the lunch lady. Then, I headed to a table, sat down, and started eating. After a few minutes later, Carol showed up and immediately hugged me from behind which surprised me.

"Hi, Y/n." She said.

I giggled.

"Hi, Carol." I said and hugged her back.

After we separated, Carol sat down right next to me.

This is my chance to ask her out.

'Just do it, Y/n. You can do it.' I thought.

I then took a deep breath and said.

"So, uh, Carol?"

"Yes, Y/n?" She asked.

"I was wondering..." I said.

"Yes?" She asked.

I was incredibly nervous.

"Would you..." I said.

"Yes?" She asked.

I couldn't take it anymore, so I finally asked.

"Would you like to go on a date with me?"

I then closed my eyes because I feared rejection was coming.

Carol was shocked at first, but then she smiled and said.

"Of course, Y/n."

I opened my eyes in surprise and looked at her.

"Really?" I asked.

She nodded and said.

"Yes, I would love to go on a date with you, Y/n."

I smiled.

'She said yes!' I thought.

'He asked me out!' She thought.

"When would you like me to pick you up?" I asked.

"How about at 6 tonight?" She asked.

"Sure, I will see you later, Carol." I said while smiling.

"I'll see you later too, Y/n." She said while smiling too and then left.

I went back to eating my lunch, but I couldn't get my mind off of what just happened.

'Yes, I did it! I finally get to go on a date with Carol!' I thought with happiness.

Then I saw my friends, Jessica, Barbara Gordon who is Batgirl, Diana Prince who is Wonder Woman, Zee Zatara who is Zatanna, Karen Beecher who is Bumblebee, and Kara Danvers who is Supergirl come over to me.

"Congratulations Y/n, I'm happy for you and Carol." Jessica said.

"Oh, you guys saw that?" I asked.

They all nodded.
