Jewels's fear (Blu and Jewel fanfiction)

The sun shined though a small window, Jewel felt her cheeks warm up from sun. She looked around her room, Her room was painted orange, red, and blu. She blushed red as she thought of her Lover. She slowly got up and left her room in their new house, it was a human style house, she wasn't a fan but she did it anyways for Blu.

The clock read 7:00 am, she was a morning bird in-contrast with Blu who was a night owl. She stood outside of Blu's room. The two birds were still a little uncomfortable with each other. Jewel let him have his own room but the two secretly enjoyed sleeping together more than sleeping separate. Jewel purposely always work up early so she can have only time with him.

She knocked on Blu's door, Rain was pouring outside, adding a nice atmosphere. She knocked on it again, louder this time. Still she didn't hear anything. Panic washed over her as she rapidly knocked on the door.

"Blu?" She said sounding extremely worried

"Blue, answer me!" She tried to look under the floor but she just could't find him

"Jewel?" Blu said drowsily, slowly opening the door

"Blu!" She squealed happily as she lunged at him.

She pinned Blu to the floor as she hugged him hard. Nuzzling her face into Blu's neck. "I miss you...." she quietly said.

"Honey.... it has been only a 12 hours" Blu said, enjoying the comfort

"I made Breakfast and Lunch for you, I also cleaned out the Kitchen and put away the tras-"

"Dear, you don't need to"

"But I...." She started before getting interrupted

"Please Sweetheart" He said, getting Jewel off him

"What do me to do while waiting for yoou" She whined as the two went down to the Kitchen, as expected the mangos were set neatly and with perfection. The two Birds sat themselves on the table as they began eating. Jewel blushed as the two went for the same Mango, The two looked at each other, with determined faces to get the mango. Blu quickly stabbed the mango with his fork as Jewel hit her head on the plate trying to get the mango with her beak.

"What was that for?" Jewel said, sounding hopping mad

Blue smiled at her with a cocky face

"Anddd, that's cheating, you can't use tools!"

"Who said I can't?" Blue grinned

"I did!" she went up to him snatched the fork away, smiling at him

"Awwww" He said as Jewel hopped to the sink and dropped it in

As she went back to her seat, Blu gave her the mango he "stole" from her anyways

"Awww thanks love..." She said sweetly

"I had no choice" Blu replied, still smiling

"Yeah you didn't" She dug into the mango

After the two finished, Blu went to do the dish. He was interrupted as Jewel cut in. "Let me do the dishes" He somberly said as he blocked her from getting the soap.

"Fine..." She looked away sad, Blue could tell somebody thing was wrong.

"Jewel?" Blu said.

"Yeah?"

"I love you."

"I love you too...Blu." She said, deep in thought

"You're never gonna stop that, are you?" She added

"Not for a long time."

"Good. Because despite how annoying it may be sometimes...I always love that laugh of yours."

"Ooh. Kind of like how I love seeing your beautiful eyes? Or how I love seeing your courage and confidence race high up when I need you? Or...how kind you are to me and others despite how rude I can be?"

"Rude? You haven't said anything rude to me since after we became a couple. And the times we had after that have always been the best. They are times that I will always enjoy with you."

"Thank you." Jewel snuggled her head with Blu's. Then she thought to herself again, "Always so nice. Again, even though I was a jerk. Maybe I still am." For a long time, while telling herself to deny it, as Blu kept being so nice to her, she dwelled too much on how she wasn't very much the same in the past, and she couldn't let it go.

So she decided to ask, "Hey Blu?"

"Yep?"

"Do you miss her?"

"Miss who?"

"You know, Linda?"

"Oh. Actually...yes, a little. For a fifteen years she was almost like the only family I ever had, but while yes I was a little upset that she had to go back to Minnesota...and we had to say our goodbyes...I know she'll be back eventually. And what's better than that is the fact I have you now; the one bird that I can call my real family. Even more. You are my Love, and I love you more than anything."

"Aww." Hearing that made shed a her few tears.

"Want to visit The Christ the Redeemer Statue?" He asked

"Sure Love" She still had the broken wing so she squared herself as Blu picked her up.

The two birds flew up together, high up in the sky, much higher than they've ever been before as they went passed the head of the Redeemer Statue. The wind was cool as the two flew up even higher

"Y-You enjoying yourself?" Blu nervously asked.

"You bet! Whoo! it's great to feel the wind, thank you for suggesting this."

The two made a tons of turns before Blu got tired due to Jewel weigh and his still novice flying skills. The two went down onto a tree branch. Jewel nestled her head on Blu's neck

"That was great" Blu said, looking at the Redeemer.

"Can I ask you a question?" She quietly said, not paying attention to what he just said

"Yes Jewel?"

"I have a question"

Blue looked at her with nervous look

"Why do you love me? Especially how I treated you when we first meet"

"Honey, you are just getting caught up on the past"

"What if I am not?"

"Trust me Love, I love you and you have nothing to worry about"

"Can we go home please?" She didn't seem satisfied with his answer

"Ok" He said

20 minutes later:

Blu flew into their house. Putting her down gently, She walked away not saying a single word.
