"Hajime... I think I might be dying"
The news Nagito just squeeled out were shocking. Hajime didn't know how to respond.
"Y-You might die?" Hajime mumbled and sat down. He needed a moment to take in the news.
"Yes. Here it says: frontotemporal dementia, a condition caused by the progressive deterioration of the frontal lobe of the brain. There is no cure for this condition. Drugs might slow down the symptoms, but won't cure it permanently. The patient has almost no chance of survival" Nagito read from the article. (article from internet)
Hajime's breathing got faster along with his heart beat.
"Hajime?" Nagito asked and carefully placed his hand on Brunette's shoulder.
"I don't know what to say"
"You.. don't need to say anything"
"Is there any way I could help you? At least a tiny bit?"
"Don't tell others. I wanna talk to Makoto or Kyoko in person before I come to a conclusion"
"Sure. We'll keep it between us" Hajime sighed out.
"How are you feeling?" Nagito asked. His eyes were sparkling with tears.
"I don't really know. Anxious maybe?" Hajime replied and supported his head with his arm.
"Understandable"
"I also lost appetite. I'm not hungry anymore"
The boys chuckled slightly and got up.
"Come for a walk. It will ease you" Nagito suggested kindly. Even if such despairful situation, he was able to think positively.
"Sure... I hope it will" Hajime agreed and they left the library. Before they did so, Nagito hid the book.
After leaving, Hajime was lead to the beach.
They sat down and watched the sea.
The water looked so clear, azure. It was mirroring the sun's light, making the sea sparkle. It looked very beautiful.
The sun began setting and soon, their thoughts were interrupted.
"Guys, GUYS! You GOTTA see this" Kazuichi ran towards them.
"What's going on?" Hajime asked. They got up.
"Come on, come on, come, come come!" Kazuichi exclaimed and lead them to the Hotel's Lobby.
