Since Day One
Chapter 1
I sighed in frustration as I blocked out Hannah's begging. She was trying to convince me to go to her churchs camp with her and I was starting to crack.
"Please Claudia please please pleassssse."Hannah said grabbing my arm and dragging her feet
I sighed and stopped walking and turned to her "Okay Hannah I'll go now please STOP BEGGING."
Hannah jumped up and down and danced in a little circle and I just laughed at her. I turned and lefted her there. I couldn't believe that I had agreed to go to a church camp with her. I sighed and let my mind wander back to the first time I went to a camp.

"Claudia come jump over the edge with me."said my friend Leah
"Leah are you sure this is safe?"I said as my twelve year old self got up onto the rail
"Yes I've already done it twice."She said as she grabbed my hand
"Ooookay."I said nervously
"On three...One....Two....Three!" Leah yelled and we both jumped off the rail and into the fifteen feet deep water
We landed with a splash and we went all the way to the bottow. When I slowly began to rise I mentally sighed. Then I stopped moving and I started to panick and kick around. A piece of sea weed had wrapped around my ankle and was holding me there. I struggled until finally I broke free and I pushed off the ground and up to the surface with ragged gasps.
"Oh may gosh Claudia are you okay?"said Leah as she swam over to me
I nodded and laid on my back taking long deep breaths. I couldn't hear Leah's voice as I looked up at the sky thinking about how it was shocking that I had gotten away from the sea weed and the bottom of the dark sea floor. I felt someone tap my foot and I sat up seeing Leah.
"Hey it's time to go inside and play some games."Leah said
"Okay."I whispered as I swam up to the shore and grabbed my towel hiding my shanking knees.

I took a shakey breath and looked down at my hands as I slide down a wall.I was still afraid of jumping off docks and going to deep into the water. I just hoped we didn't have to go very deep in any water.
