Year 2996

"Jaehyuk-ah?"
15 year old Jaehyuk whipped his head around from looking out at the blue city of Seoul through his window, smiling as he saw his older brother open up the door to his room.
"Jaejoon hyung! I thought you were supposed to be at school today?"

Jaejoon smiled as he sat down beside the other boy.
"I am, but I came back because there is some big news that Jisoo wants to tell you. There's a medal ceremony today, how about you come along with me and hear Jisoo out?"
"Hmm... okay, if you say so. I'm sure you'll get a sophisticated medal, you're graduating and you've been the top performer for all four years of your Embassy education. I have no doubts." Jaehyuk smiled and got his bag from the side of the room.
"Oh, I guess so. I don't want to jump to conclusions though. Someone probably surpassed me on the score board." Jaejoon said. Jaehyuk scoffed as he put on his shoes.

"Have a little faith, hyung! Let's go~"

Jaehyuk sat in the large audience, smiling up at the stage as Jaejoon and other students were finally graduating from their years of training and were becoming full-fledged soldiers.

"I present this medal of honour to Yoon Jaejoon, graduating top of the school of Embassy Elite Training, who will also be going directly into officer efforts. Congratulations."
Commander Jisoo placed the pin into the boy's blue and black suit that lit up in different spots. She wore white and red, which was the appropriate colour code for commanders.
"Thank you." Jaejoon said.
Jaehyuk's eyes were sparkling and he looked up at his older brother with veneration- he was so proud of him.

After the ceremony, everyone was wandering the halls and congratulating their children and relatives. Jaehyuk spotted his brother talking to Jisoo and smiled.

Oh yeah... she wanted to talk to me about something. I wonder what for.

"Hyung, Commander Jisoo." Jaehyuk bowed at her, the older woman bowing back.
"Hello, Jaehyuk. You must be proud of your older brother's achievements."
"Yes, of course. He's accomplished so much." Jaehyuk busted a smile and nodded.

"Come with me to my office, I would like to discuss something with you." Jisoo said. Jaehyuk hummed.
"Okay."
The three of them walked to the top of the large glass building, finding their way into a room that overlooked the waters of Seoul and filled with majestic greenery. Jisoo took a hairband from the side and tied her hair, folding her hands into each other.
"So, let's talk about our matters." Jisoo said, ushering for them to sit down in front of her in the white chairs.
They did so, the older woman smiling at them.

"I understand life has been extremely hard for you both, considering your parents' accident five years ago." Jisoo began, sadness on the faces of the brothers.
It was a time Jaehyuk didn't want to remember.
"But you two are intelligent and amazing indeed, and commander Wen had practically raised you both before he had to ultimately go back to China for other duties. Yet, you still preserved through life on your own and are living alone together normally. Jaehyuk," Jisoo turned to the boy.

"You're attempting to get a job?"
"Oh? Well... I was just thinking of the workforce." Jaehyuk answered.
"I've heard from your brother that you've dreamed of flying planes and other devices, looking at blueprints and controls and such. Is this true?"
Jaehyuk hesitated before answering.
"Yes."
Jisoo smiled, nodding.
"It'll take an additional year than what your brother did, but how about you learn to be a pilot for the Embassy?"

Jaehyuk blinked a few times, looking between his brother and the commander.
"Me? Really?" Jaehyuk asked.
"Yes. You've been thinking of this for a while, have you not? Like I said, this will take about five years of studying and hard work. Still, it'll be rewarding. Your grades from high school so far have been excellent. What do you say?" Jisoo asked.

Jaehyuk thought about what she was saying.

He would be fulfilling a lifelong dream, and although he was afraid to join the Embassy at first, being only fifteen at that, he felt like it would be beneficial for him.
He would make his parents proud a second time around, wouldn't he? His brother as a great officer, and himself as a pilot all within one of the greatest organizations in history.

It would definitely be worth the five years.

"Okay, I'll enroll." Jaehyuk nodded.
Jaejoon and Jisoo smiled, the commander nodding.

"Alright, I'll send a form to your holo-address and you can fill the application out for me. Okay?"
Jaehyuk nodded with a smile.
"Of course."

Jaehyuk felt butterflies in his body.
He was satisfied with his decision, and he was determined to go and study amongst all of the other students.
He felt complete.
He would work hard be just like his brother.

End up like his brother...

"It'll be okay."

"Huh..?"
Jaehyuk panted heavily as he woke up, looking around at his surroundings. The break of day was peeking through the window, Asahi, Junkyu and Mashiho sound asleep.
Right, he was in the past searching for two criminals.

Why did he suddenly think back to that time in the past? Did he miss his brother too much?
His voice was still ringing in his head.

"It'll be okay."

He hoped Jaejoon was right about that.
Because at the moment, he wasn't feeling good at all.
