LILLY POV

" I didn't wake up until I got to the hospital,  the nurses brought the stretcher and I was placed on it.

" Leo and  Matt try to follow but they stopped them.

" I was taken into a ward and a doctor in his mid-70ties attend to me, I was placed on IV fluids.

" he checked my two eyes and place his stethoscope  on my chest.

" He let out a smile and asked me when did you see your period last asked the doctor.

" I can't remember maybe two or three months I said.

" Young lady,  you are three weeks pregnant  , congratulations said the doctor and caress my hand.

" My eyes widen , I touched my stomach and whispered "my baby as tears fell from my eyes.

" You fainted due to stress you passed through your baby is okay he said and turn to leave when I called him.

" Doctor! He turn back and face me,  please don't tell them am pregnant I said referring to Leo and Matt.

" I would like to break the news to my baby father myself.

" No problem honey said the doctor and smiled,  don't forget to start your antenatal early he said and excused himself.

" I was so happy, I caress my stomach and allow the tears to flow freely from my face.

" Leo am carrying your baby I said to myself.

" I heard a footsteps and quickly lie down and close my eyes like I haven't wake up.

" Thank God she is okay said Matt.

" Leo! Once she is okay stay away from her said Matt.

" Lilly is so stubborn Matt,  I will need to hurt her with my words if I want her to cut all ties with me said Leo with a shaky voice like he is about to cry.

" Oh my God! Why did he want to cut all ties with me I said to myself feeling scared.

" I opened my eyes slowly and they both rush to me.

" Lilly! They both chorused.

" How are you feeling asked Leo.

" Am..... Fine I said with tears swollen up in my eyes.

" Matt signalled to Leo and excused himself.

" After he is gone,  Leo said beside me on the bed and hold my hands.

" Lilly am sorry to say this,  I don't love you and I don't deserve to be with you.

" I looked into his eyes and said with tears streaming down my face,  why are you saying all this Leo.

" He wiped my tears with his finger and hold me by cheeks trust me Lilly is for your own safety.

" Leo please don't leave me I said shaking my head negatively with hot tears streaming down my eyes.

" Am sorry Lilly,  I have no choice he said  and turn away his face.

" I covered my mouth and cried and  wiped my tears with my palms at the same time.

" Leo! I called his name.

" Can I ask you a question .

" Sure he said his face still away.

" Have ....you ....ever think about me for once I asked him.

" He turn his back to me and said am sorry I..........

" Is okay I already know your answers to my question , I didn't let him complete his sentence.

" Am ready to cut all ties with you since it is for my safety.

" His eyes widen,  he was so surprised to hear that statement from me.

" Lilly! He called my name and tried to hold my hand.

" I want to be alone I said and lie down facing the wall.

" He wait for a minute and left.

" After he let left,  I burst into fresh tears and cried my eyes out.

" He will never accept my baby so what is the essence of me telling him I said to myself with tears streaming down my face.

" I caress my stomach and cried  , baby am sorry your father would reject you.

" Am such a worthless mother I said and let the tears flow freely down my face.
