'I wouldn't have been able to deny the accusations against me, nor would I be able to prove it. Where I was wasn't where I wanted to be but I couldn't tell you where I wanted to be. It was just a feeling I had nothing more, nothing less. I was just like a leaf, floating in the wind, being blown by the breath of fate into the unknown. Or so I wanted..wanted... What was it that I wanted? Did I want-"Grey"-a good day? Or-"Grey!"-a million dollars? Possibly I wanted a-"GREY!"- He blinked his eyes a few times and then focused on the girl standing in front of him who looked slighty pissed.
"Grey, didn't you hear me calling you?" She asked him her hands firmly placed on her hips. He shook his head slightly.
"I'm sorry Julli, I really didn't hear you calling me.." He replied, a little embassaed.
"So, what were you doing standing in the middle of the road like an idiot?" She grabbed him by the hand and pulled him onto the sidewalk. She looked at him and shook her head. He looked at her, her short wavy brown hair shifting as she moved. He'd known her for as long as he could remember, and now her half smile and petite stature had been able to bring him some slight comfort. Her seemingly large bright green eyes no longer frightened him but some how now seemed fascinating. He hadn't seen her in over five years and that image of the small, green eyed girl seemed to linger in his mind. He looked at the girl holding him and he could tell....he knew that the person holding him wasn't her. She just seemed to look like the girl he knew. He looked at her closely and noticed that the girl was just one if his classmates dressed up for the school play. He gently removed his arm from her grip and stepped a step back from her.
"I'm sorry for bothering you," he said running off down the street leaving the girl standing staring at him completely puzzeled.
Why was it that he was always like this? Always bothering other people when he didn't mean to. Why do some of them seem to go out of their way to help him? Well it didn't matter. If he could keep himself to himself he would be fine. He realized that he was still running and slowed himself to a gradual stop. 'Crap,' he thought, 'Where am I?' He looked around unable to recognize any place around him. He headed to a near by bus stop and sat down. 'It happened again. Ha! I got destracted and kept running.' Sigh. He looked up towards the sky and its deep red and orange wrinkles creases into its pleasant, normal, blue appearance. He glanced at his watch, the bus for him to go to his house usually came at 3:00 and now it was 3:45 and he was at a bus stop that he had never been to. In fact... This entire portion of the town was new to him. 'Hey, why not let us explore it Grey?' A voice said to him. It wasnt a bad idea but it wasn't a good one either. He felt his body get up and began to move off in the direction of the nearest building. 'No! Not now!" He screamed out to himself in his mind. 'Please...' He tried to will himself to a stop but it was futile, curiousity had already taken over.
The sun had begun to already go down and he had abandoned the idea of trying to stop himself and now he was moving in the direction of the park. He stoped for a second, the sound was faint, a faint cry for....help? He followed the sound closely trying to move as quickly as possible. He entered the mouth of the alley, covered in sweat and breathing heavily. He looked and saw her looking at the sky, her bright blue eyes piercing into him. Her face was painted lightly with a red looking liquid. Her face was blank and expressionless...she was holding something in her hand. His eyes drifted slowly down and focused on it. Its eyes stared back at him the dull light fading slowly from them. He covered his mouth as to muffle his impending cry of surprise. The eyes drifted up to her and a gurgled voice came from it,
"I'm sorry...please... Please just let me go...please.." The man pleaded. She continued to stare up at the darkening sky as though the man had not spoken at all. He kept yelling and begging and pleading until her smile began to fade. She tossed his head back and then slammed his body against the wall using her shoulders to pin him to it. She looked at him blankly. Then his face and eyes stiffened then the spray of of blood washed her face in his vital essence. Grey stood their, unable to move, his mind unable to believe his eyes. She stood there holding the mans lifeless, head by the hair. He began to up as silently as possible... Her eyes turned and settled on him, a faint smile playing along the edges of her mouth. He ran.
