Run! That was the only word that ran through his mind as he moved through the empty corridors. His chest felt as though a fire had started to spread through his chest at a rapid rate. He could hear the pursuing footsteps getting closer and closer. 'Move dam it' he screamed out in his mind. He ached all over. His limbs becoming heavy and his breathing becoming more pained as the more time past. He threw open a door and dove into the room and sat behind the door after closing it as quietly as possible. His heartbeat erratically and unevenly within his chest. 'What would i do? What do I do?' He ran his hand through his thin wavy hair. He knew that there wasn't much time, but...he had to do it. If not now then it would be too late. He heard the footsteps pounding on down the corridor and he instinctively held his breath and counted down from twenty. Three.....two.....one.....he jumped onto his feet and threw the door open and dashed down the corridor. He didn't wait to see how far they had run and just made his way down the adjointing hallway.
He was completely out of breath by the time he made it up onto the roof. He felt like his heart was going to jump out of his chest. 'Of all the places! Why the God dammed roof?!' he thought to himself. He turned around to try and back track but he turned to feel the mouth of a gun on his forehead.
"Where are you going Morgan?" The man asked him, his voice was a deep baritone with a somewhat charming way in which he pronounced his words. "How long did you think you could run from us?" He said, his eyes locked on him. "So, where is it?".
"W-where's what?" Morgan replied, stuttering as he tried to calm himself down. He heard the sound of the bullet being placed into the gun's chamber.
"Now's not the time to act the fool," the man replied, in a unsettlingly calm voice. "Morgan, please don't shit with me right now. Just tell me, where is it!" Morgan looked at him, the hatred turning and bubbling within him.
"What.... Is your problem?" Morgan asked in a stern, serious voice, "Why do you even want that?"
"Why ask such unnecisary questions?" The man replied in an annoyed tone. Just as he finished his statement, in a swift movement Morgan threw up his hands slapping the gun aside and grabbing the back of the man's head, pulling the mans head down as he slammed his knee directly in the man's face. The man went down for a moment and Morgan used this opportunity to run. He knew that there was a low chance that he would make it but...it was something he has to do. The man glances up to see Morgan running towards the edge of the roof.
"MORGAN! WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?!" the man yelled as he jumped onto his feet and ran after Morgan. Morgan turned and glanced back and flashed a smile as he threw himself off the roof.
"NOOO!" The man screamed out as he approached the edge, just a few seconds too late...."Dam it! Dam it!"
