In the dead of a cool fall night, Sean layed in his bed contemplating whether to like the video he was observing, or finally sleep for the night.

What am I doing? Sean thought, as he tossed his phone onto a bean bag across his room, and pulled out his earbuds.

Throwing the covers off of his freezing body, Sean realized how thirsty he was during his rage of content seeking at 2 am. But before he could do anything about it, Sean accidentally misplaced his foot onto one of the many plastic bottles on his floor, producing an extremely loud crunch to disrupt the atmosphere.

Becoming completely awake, Sean opened his eyes to see absolutely nothing, as it was too dark to see at all. And though he could not see, he definitely heard the creek of his door open and the only words in his head were "oh shit."

"Sorry dad!" Sean spat out with a rather lighter voice than usual. "I just wanted to thirsty some water!" he desperately tried.

Though quickly Sean realized that the tall man standing in his doorway wasn't his father. It was a large human wearing full black. The only noticeable trait he had was a black ballistic face mask. Holding a gun at Sean's face, the man signaled at Sean to walk towards him.

"Hey man I'm just a kid, I didn't see anything! I'll shut up, just please let me live!" Sean offered while slowly following the mans orders.

The masked man put his finger over where his mouth would be. Swiftly looking behind him and looking back multiple times in quick succession, the masked man made sure nobody was behind him, and unintentionally ensured that Sean had an opening.

Charging the masked man, Sean aimed for the arm holding the gun. Miss firing two shots, the man got his wrist grabbed by a 14 year old who was now behind him with his armed pinned to his back. Thinking he had the fight, Sean started to let go of the man's arm to dive for the gun that was on the floor feet away. Though with quick reaction, the man kicked Sean off of him, making it an even fight with both equal distance from the firearm.

Diving for it, the masked man was beaten just barely as Sean kicked the weapon away. He kicked the man while he was on the ground, just before the man grabbed his leg and sweeping Sean, though he caught himself before falling. Taking a swing at Sean, the masked man connected his fist with Seans head as he wasn't paying close enough attention. Fading from the second strike, Sean used a swift uppercut as a counter attack, followed by a hook to the masked man's face.

With the man stunned, Sean dove for the gun and fired 3 shots at the mans face, only for all three to ricochet off of his mask.

Charging Sean, the masked man dove top of him fighting for the gun in his hand. He backhanded Sean's nose, as he was hooked by the boy's fist right in the temple. Holding each other down, Sean noticed a pocket knife on the man's side. They both rolled over, and the masked man shoved Sean off the top of him. Both back on their feet, Sean pushed the man onto his wall, bashing his head up against the wall with his fists. Finally, he pick-pocketed the pocket knife from the man and flipped the blade open. Hitting the man's head one last time, Sean shoved the blade into the side of the masked man's skull, creating drops of blood that flushed all onto Sean's hands. Twisting the blade into his skull, Sean confirmed the first kill of this lifetime.

Hyperventilating, the boy sat down with his hand over his nose. He was holding a scared look on his face, as he noticed another figure standing in his doorway.

"What the fuck did you do?" the figure exclaimed as his jaw dropped witnessing the masked man's body lay rest on the floor.

Sean was too tired to speak to his father, Robert, he knew bad things would follow if he did.

Robert held a pistol in his right hand, and a fist in his left. "You always fuck up my plans." he sighed, as he discharged two bullets into Sean's right shin.

He yelled in agony, as what he feared started to come to life.

"After everything I've done to you I'm honestly impressed you didn't just let this man kill you." Robert chuckled, "Honestly I'm surprised you haven't done it yourself yet," Robert trailed off while Sean only had one objective. "And you nearly did it too. All this time I've been trying to make you remember, but I guess we brainwashed you too hard." Robert shot the eye of the masked man through the thin eyehole of the ballistic mask, popping the dead mans eyeball just to show his marksmanship. "Isn't that right, Ap-"

Sean's objective was finally complete. He discharged the remaining five bullets of the masked mans gun into Robert's lower chest and hip, dropping him onto the ground. He screamed as loudly as he possibly could, as he stood up on his shattered shin.

With a sense of satisfaction and pure determination, Sean repetitively slammed his window until it shattered to pieces. He looked back to his father laying nearly dead on the ground, and spat directly between his eyes. Vaulting out of his window, He could smell the everlasting perfume of freedom.
