types are assorted and determined by :: 

I or E ( introversion and extroversion ) , how social one is in an environment
N or S ( intuitive or observant ) , if they look into the future or the present
F or T ( feeling or thinking  ) , whether they use their heart of mind to make decisions
J or P ( judging or percieving ) , whether they work consistently or in bursts of energy

roles are assorted and determined ::

analysts - have the thinking and intuitive traits
diplomats - have the feeling and intuitive traits
sentinels - have the judging and the observant traits
explorers - have the perceiving and observant traits
