Edge of the Rainbow
Daylight struck my face as I jumped out of bed. Of course, I’m off to school.
On my way, I was fascinated to see kittens. They were so adorable. As I walk toward a certain kitten, I was astonished to see another hand reaching for the kitten. I was more surprised to see that it was from a guy. Maybe, he felt that I was staring at him so he said,
“Umm, miss is there something wrong?” As I’ve heard his voice, I came back to reality.
“Nothing”, I replied. After that I get back to walking.
I finally reached school and to my surprise there was the guy I met earlier. I didn’t know that he was in the same school as I do. Anyways, I don’t really bother.
The school starts, same old routine was done. Well, except for the fact that someone interrupts the class.
Guess what guys?
It’s the kitten guy, and for your information, he was a transfer student, that’s why I don’t know a thing about him.
“Shilloh Bluetrum, nice to meet you”
What the hell?! Did he just wink at me?! Oh please, he’s starting to get into my nerves. But, in all fairness, he got the looks—
“What are you laughing at?” I didn’t notice that he was already beside me.
“As if you care”, I said with a raise of my eyebrow. I heard him laugh.
Well, his voice sounds funny, maybe, he can’t sing. “Haha” I slightly laughed.
Back to what I was saying before he interrupted me, he really got the looks but maybe, not the brains.
Finally, after the long irritating day with him, it’s time to head home. Success is here.
“Hey! Pst! Miss”
Can’t he just shut up for a while?
“C’mon! Hey! Wait up” I got irritated so I faced him.
“Now what?!” I yelled.
“Chill, missy.” He replied.
“Don’t you dare,’missy missy’ me. I have a name, alright?!” He heaves a sigh,
“That’s what I was going to ask. C’mon spill it”
“Catherine Pavy, Rin for short. Got it?” He nods.
“Now get out of my way!”To my relief he moved.
I was getting nearer to the place where I saw the kittens.
Where I first saw that Kitten Guy. The box, the kittens, everything was gone.
Well, I was happy that somebody took them to take care of.
Days passed, more and more irritating days I get.
“Rin! See you afterschool, I’ll tell you something”
“NO WAY!” I replied. He just smiled and because of that I glared at him.
Who the hell would be happy if you were tapped hard at your back while you were eating?! “Whatever, Rin, see ya!”
The class ended smoothly and here’s the time he’s been waiting for.
Where do you think am I ?
Here I am stuck inside the room with this annoying guy.
How?
Well, he asked his friends to close the doors before I can even get out.
“Now what?”
I asked, as soon as get to be seated. I was surprised cause he got serious.
“Well, umm, Rin, sorry for disturbing you most of the time—“
“Of course you should “, I butted in.
I wanted to talk to you about some matters—“
GRUUUUU~” Shoot! Now my tummy was the one who butt in. I heard him trying to stop from laughing.
“Go ahead laugh—“ I was taken aback to see him ... already laughing.
He’s silently laughing. How cute. Instead of getting mad at him for laughing at me, I just laughed with him.
While we were both having fun, he stood up and grabbed me by the hand. I feel like my face got red. “Come, let’s eat. My treat” , he said while laughing.
Well, maybe, he was really a good man after all.
We ran to the nearest cafeteria. As he was saying, his treat. “Dig in!”, he told me.
“Let’s pray first”, I lead it. Don’t worry it was a short one.
“Thanks” I said after I finished eating.
“Don’t mention it” , he replied. He’s not that annoying, maybe, I’ll give him a chance.
“Um, Shilloh, well, I’m also sorry for being mean to you”.
“I don’t care” he replied with a big smile on his face.
This made my heart skip a bit
. “Rin, umm, can I ask a favor?”
As the time flies, I got more and more nervous.
“uu-uum w-what i-is i-it?” Oh shoot, I’m stuttering.
He scratches his nape and said
“Could you help me in math?”
“WHAT?!”, I know , I overreacted. But, sorry, I expect for something else.
