I am so happy for where you are right now
For you're in the path of discovery
And you believe in goodness
And nothing can ever falter
You're naive and you think that probably the only hardship in life is gonna be exams
But, hold yourself close
Embrace yourself
You're going to grow up too soon
How I wish you were left just the way you were
With all real smiles
And a real worry free life!
You will face obstacles, you will be clueless
But hold yourself,
Embrace yourself
For, you're going to be the only one by your side.
People you hold dear will go away
And you will feel empty
That's why I'm telling you
Hold yourself
Embrace yourself.
You will meet fabulous people
And wish that they stay
But know, that some things are just temporary
And you can't hold onto them forever...
Like your favorite shirt
No matter how close it is to you,
When the time comes, you must know how to discard things
See beyond façades
Live beyond your self imposed limits
Listen to momma and papa
For they know things
I know that they may sound bitter
But trust me, it's all for the better...
And trust me...
It will all get better one day.
