Hyejoo only stopped when Yerim, who was finally out of her shock, held her back from beating Chaewon's ex to death. While Yerim was scared of Hyejoo, she also didn't want one of her best friends in prison for murder.
"Hye, calm the fuck down," Yerim said firmly.
Hyejoo glared at her with that wolf gaze, and it took all Yerim's self control to not shrink away.
"Hey, what happened?" a new voice asked, footsteps approaching. Both Yerim and Hyejoo froze, but it was Heejin, who was rubbing sleep from her eyes, and not a teacher.
"Woah there, Hye," Heejin said when she spotted Jihyun on the floor, unconscious. "Did you do this?"
"Yerim definitely wouldn't," Hyejoo growled, surprisingly still in Yerim's grip.
"Hyejoo, your parents," Heejin warned, which made the wolf shrink away. "Their-"
"Reputation will be damaged if I do anything, I know," Hyejoo replied in her normal voice.
Yerim let go of her best friend, which caused Hyejoo to fall since she was still leaning forward from trying to escape. Hyejoo glared at her, making Yerim gulp and quickly apologize.
While the three were immersed in conversation, Jihyun rose on shaking legs. Much stronger than I expected, she thought. But I'm strong, Son Hyejoo. Much stronger than you.
With a low growl, she silently stalked away from the three friends and left campus, planning to get her Chaewon back.
