I dedicate this to LotteStarburst, who is a sweetheart of a writer and makes all her readers feel like gold. I thought she deserved a little Valentine’s Day treat.
This is the first story I’ve written in around 15 years. I have a technical writing degree, so usually you’ll find me suggesting edits in stories but never creating them. Writing this tiny thing was hard work, and I admire all you writers out there who come up with full-blown plots and characters and dialogue. A 3,000 word short is enough for me.
Just like when Chelsea comes up with her idea in my story, I too came up with this story in that sweet spot of drowsiness when ridiculous ideas are seen as the best ideas.
