The plane ride was long and uneasy...I hate plane's. My sisters and I kept each other company and played around, but the new found hole in my heart grow bigger as we got further and further away from California.

8 hours later we found ourselves in the heart of new Orleans just outside the airport. Since our cars wouldn't be here for a few more days we would have to take a cab to our new home.

My father flagged down a cab and we put our bags in the trunk and got in. The entire time the driver kept giving us nasty looks. That was the first sighn of my soon to come pain and suffering.  As we drove through the city the cab driver still did not loose his disgusted look. At first I thought he was mad at the fact he had to drive us and that he wanted go on break or something but.... There just something else about his expression... It didn't seem to be annoyance... Just pure hatred. It made shivers run down my back.

30 minutes later we arrived at our new home. We got our bags out of the trunk and my dad paid the driver... He even tipped him generously! but the driver took the Money as if my dad had handed him a handful of poop. He sped off in the opposite direction.... What was his problem?

Anyway... I couldn't be bothered by a cranky cab driver at the moment. I had bigger issues. Our house wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. It was 2 stories and pretty big. It was a cream color with a huge front yard with bright green grass.

"Wow", my little sister gasped

"Its great isn't it", my dad said proudly

"It isn't that great", I mumbled to myself. Our house in California was better

"My dad opend the front door and all my sister rushed in to go pick out rooms. In total there were 6 bedrooms. 2 for me and my older sister, one for my two little sisters to share, and the master bedroom for my parents and baby brother. That left us with two sapre rooms. I guess that was ok... I still would've liked California better.

I was standing in the middle of my new room which was bare and empty when my older sister walked in.

"Let's set up some ground rules", she said placing her hands on her hip like she always did when she was trying to be the boss. My 2 little sisters then entered.

"There are 5 and 1/2 bathrooms in this house. I call the one right next to my room ok? None of you should even think of using it!", she said staring at us

I smiled

"And I get the one across the hall", I said walking towards her

"And what do we get?", my little sister Ashley asked

"Y'all have a bathroom in y'alls room so just use that", sasha said

"Ok", Ashley said shrugging

"So its been agreed. No usage of each others bathroom... Unless it's an absolute dire emergency", I added

"Agreed", saha said

"Wait! Define 'absolute dire emergency'...", Ashley asked mischievously

"It means stay out of our bathrooms!", I said laughing and ruffled her hair

"Does that include bedrooms?", she asked

Sasha and I both looked at each and rolled our eyes in annoyance

"Yes!", we both exclaimed

"Ok ok jeez! I'm just asking", Ashley said and left, followed by my youngest sister princess

"That means you to", I said looking at sasha

She rolled her eyes and left.

Later on that night my mom surprised us all by cooking dinner. She made pasta.

That night I slept on an air mattress. We would start bringing in furniture tomorrow. I sighed and closed my eyes as one dreadful thought crossed my mind. I was starting school next week.... Oh God help me.
