Skulduggery Pleasant Fan Fiction: Impossible Reality

1. Don't jump to conclusions

Valkyrie and Skulduggery where heading to a fresh crime scene, apparently the victim had their head blown off.
“You know it’s good to have you back Valkyrie” said Skulduggery
“Aw so you did miss me after all these years” said Valkyrie with a smile. She had gotten back from her five year stay in America about a fortnight ago.
“No, I miss having someone to boast to” quipped Skulduggery, Valkyrie looked unimpressed. She was about to make a remark then her phone rang. It was her mother.
“Hello” answered Valkyrie, “Stephanie, I know that you haven’t been back long. But you did say to tell you if anything strange happened in Haggard” Her mother inhaled, “Does a man in black moving armour count?”
Valkyrie’s eyes widened, “Are you sure that’s what you saw?” asked Valkyrie as she tried not to jump to conclusions.
“I’m looking at him right how honey. And it looks like the shadows are, moving around him”
“Mum” said Valkyrie as she tried to say calm, “Get out of there right now”
“But he’s not doing anything and he has-”
Valkyrie cut her off, “Mum if we are talking about the same person than you don’t want to be in a fifty mile radius of him. Just get Alice and Dad and get out of there!”
“If you say so Stephanie” said her mum with her voice shaking, “I’ll tell Fergus and Beryl to get out too”
“Sure, sure just do it fast!” said Valkyrie then she hung up and let out an array of curses. Valkyrie then looked at Skulduggery who has noticed the tone of the conversation and had started driving towards Haggard. Skulduggery glanced at her, “Vile’s in Haggard” she said
Skulduggery tilted his head, “Call China, tell her what’s going on then call Geoffrey and tell him and other sensitives to be on standby” said Skulduggery quickly understanding the urgency of the matter.
Valkyrie nodded and started calling. When she was done Valkyrie looked at Skulduggery who was stretching the speed limit.
“It’s not me” said Skulduggery
“I know that” said Valkyrie, “You’re sitting right here”
“No” said Skulduggery darkly, “I mean my armour is here too”
Valkyrie’s eyes widened, “It’s here?!” Valkyrie almost yelled, “Than who or what the hell is in Haggard?”
“I have no idea” said Skulduggery

Hey look another SP story! :D Yeah I know I should get further along in the other story first but I had the idea for this and I couldn't resist. I think I have a better idea of where I'm going with this fanfic, so I don't know I might add some more parts soon ... No grantees though. Sorry!
